  1. I have also been having some anxiety over what to stock. So far I have chicken/beef broth, sugar free jello, and a couple flavors of protein powder. V8 is a favorite of mine, so will be stocking this too. The idea of unflavored protein powder is great- hadn't thought about this. I really appreciate all of the great tips/advice people post.
  2. Wow- thanks for this post. I need to be mindful of what a big change this will be for my husband (who has loved me at a variety of weights- another lucky girl here).
  3. I had a Fitbit One, loved it for a long time, and lost it. This was recently replaced with a Fitbit Charge HR. It accurately tracks my steps, is very easy to use, and has heart rate monitoring. I wasn't thrilled about a bracelet but am really liking the device as it pushes me to be much more active.
  4. This is good to know. I'm also having a hernia repair and was wondering just the same thing.
  5. We moved about a year ago-husband and I both went through our closets asking similar questions. We tried on almost every item and decided if it was a keeper or something for the donation pile. We got rid of about 75% of our clothes. Note- I'm pre surgery so this wasn't due to weight loss but rather an effort for us to stop holding on to all of the "things" that clutter up the house/life. It was part of our effort to live more simply. My surgery is two weeks away, so I have almost no cushion of smaller clothes to wear. I'm so excited (and nervous) about what's coming and determined that even if I only have a few items to wear at a time, they will be things that fit and make me feel good.
  6. I've been logging with MFP for the last six months and recently bought a kitchen scale too which has helped a lot with figuring out an actual portion vs. my usual portions. I am hoping this will help me post op since it's a daily routine now.
  7. Newbie here- my surgery date is February 24th. I'm nervous and excited!
