  1. Hi Kerri, I haven't seen the doc. yet. I just wanted to talk to others that are (or) have had the surgery. I found this site and boy was I glad.: I heard about Doc. Wolff on this site and talk to my doctor. She was glad that I had finally decided to go for it. I had been talking about it for over a year. And now I want it NOW But thats me. when I finally decide something. Anyhoo, I heard that Dr.Wolff was great. And that Maine Med. was 4 stars of the hospitals that do the LAPBand in the US. Hope to hear from you soon! Sallie
  2. Hi everyone, Just when we had a nice day(yesterday) of around 40, we are expecting 9 to 14 inches for tonite and tomorrow!!!!!!!! I am tired of snow and want spring to come fast. sfeiner what kind of dogs do you have? I have 2 maltese. I keep them in a puppy cut. I am lazy I guess 'cause I don't want to comb them all the time. Sallie:smile:
  3. Hi, k_podski, I am from Maine. I haven't had any appointments yet. I have ask for Dr. Wolff in Portland. I live in West Paris. Sallie
  4. Hi sfeiner, I live in Maine so I know about hibernating. I will be glad when spring finally is here. I have the same problem with wanting to eat at nite. I just picked up a book at the library "Overcoming Night Eating Syndrome" I heard about it on a talk show (I can't remember which one). I have been a nite eater for long time now and always ashamed of it. I thought I was the only one that ate at nite when others slept. I don't know if that was what you meant, but at least I finally told someone as the book advises. I haven't had my first visit with the doctor yet, but I Hope its ok if I chime in with Y'all. I also know what it feels like to feel down when I don't lose. That's why I love this site, everyone has some of the same problems that I have and it helps to get the encouragement that everyone gives. Well, I guess I have rambled on enough. Sallie
  5. Greatttttttttttt! job!! Congrats: thanks for sharing. I haven't had my first doctors appt yet. I love this site, though. It has been a comfort to me to know that others are out there just like me. Sallie
  6. Hi auntie jo 25, I haven't heard from Dr. Wolff's office yet about an appointment . Hope to hear from them soon. Thanks for your reply. Sallie
  7. oh yes, could anyone talk me through how I can get rid of the smileys and where to go, I forgot how I did that.
  8. Hi Cindy, I also have just request the LBS. I had thought about it for a long time but for the gastric bypass. I did not like the idea of GB, so when I heard of the LBS, I started debating about the LBS. When I couldn't stand to see myself in the reflection of the Wal-mart doors without getting depressed, I made up my mind to make an early appointment with my doctor and asked her for a referral to Dr. Wolff in Portland, Maine. She was so good about her questions and explanations about the surgery. I told her that I had thought about it for a long time. Finally she agreed to make the appointment for me. I haven't heard from the doctor yet, but I am glad for this site. I know I know this was long Ha Ha but just wanted to talk. Good Luck everyone!!!
