  1. Yesterday while visiting my cousin we started going through our family photo album going back 40+ years. My weight gains was chronicled so well. From being a chubby baby/toddler to a skinny pre adolescent. Healthy fun active high school years. Hot young youth years. Somewhere in my mid twenties after marriage the weight just crept on rapidly. Pics from these years I see a smiling lips but there's sadness in the eyes. A pic not only speaks a thousand words but it also brings out some strong emotions. Those years have gone past now. A new healthier and sexier me is starting to emerge slowly but surely. Will use some of these to motivate me.
  2. @@Babbs thanks for highlighting this. I agree 100%. And also, congrats on losing and maintaining.
  3. I can't wait to do that!!! Congrats
  4. Love this thread. Just this past weekend I was invited out on a date by a gentleman I met through work. We have been on friendly terms for months. I didn't say yes or no but I kind of said after I feel better. He took that well because he was aware that I have been on medical leave. I don't know if I will tell him what type of surgery I underwent. I think the best thing for me to do is to stay away from dating for a while until the new body and mind have adjusted and made friends with each other. I have had the most fun dating this past two summers. I am hoping for a even more fun filled dating life next summer.

Your tree is beautiful. Loving the color scheme. A tree trimming pajama party with friends sounds like a ton of fun!!!
  6. I am lucky to have a roommate who is a very health conscious eater and supports my new dietary habits and lifestyle. When she learned about my dietary restrictions she offered to remove her few items of junk foods from the kitchen. I did buy some junk foods for my niece during her week long stay with me. All the leftovers got discarded after she left.

It's not that I am not aware of the happenings around me. It's just as a sleeved individual I need ppl in the same boat as me to do stuff with. My regular group of friends and family always ends up with a house party with tons of food and drinks. I'm Trying to venture out a little away from my old lifestyle.

My friends are awesome and very supportive. But with my new lifestyle I want to do more new healthy activities than hang out with partying friends every weekend. I have never bowled in my life. Night time hiking sounds fun. Basketball games I would love to attend as the GSW are doing a phenomenal job!! I am actually trying not to meet any one new in the man department.

Definitely will look into hiking locally. I do daytime small 5-6 mile easy trails every so often with my sis. Never considered night time hikes.

I would love to start making and selling my pieces again. Had a very lucrative business going at an old job selling my craft on the side.

I'm not into theaters. A former colleague has been trying to get me into it for the past decade.

@@magtart got rid of tv four and half years ago and don't miss it at all. I love going to movies. I do stream Netflix on my laptop if I want to watch anything special. But I prefer to be out with people.
  15. Now that my energy levels up I have not a single clue what to do with myself on a Saturday night. I have been mostly just cleaning up everything, organizing and purging all day and walking. Even the carpets got shampooed yesterday. Tonight, I'm staying home for the first time in a long time. I went and grabbed some lentil vegan Soup with a couple of people and then returned home. I have lost desire to go out to parties or bars for a nightlife. I can only go shopping so many times a week. I think it's high time I find new hobbies or Bari sis/bros to socialize with. I do read and I also make jewelry. But these don't require company and are sedentary. I don't own a TV by choice. Wish there was a support group meeting for folks like us on Saturdays.
  16. Congratulations!!!

  24. Have you all started decorating? I know some folks will go all out. I would love to see. I think I will put up a few things for the kitty and I indoors. We all know how much the furbabies love to re arrange the ornaments from the tree to the floor. Or having to rescue them from the trees because these silly brats are stuck. Never a dull moment around the holidays.
