Hair loss 1 year out
I am almost a year out. I had a lot of hair loss from 5th to 9th months. I have not used any hair products and this is what my hair looks like now. The texture is more dry and brittle. I still refuse to cut it short. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Collar Bones-- When did you start to notice them
I started noticing my collar bones about 6-7 month mark. They are not where I want to be just yet. But I do catch myself looking at it in the mirror. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hiatal hernia
My VSG and hiatal hernia repair was about 1.5 hours long. Zero complications or pain post surgery. Only had nausea first night as expected. I did spend two nights at the hospital. Self paid. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

What Is Your Biggest Guilty Pleasure? (Food or Not)
My relationship with my former loves like ice creams and Desserts ( cheese included) have changed so much now that I don't even think about ordering them or buying them. On rare occasions I might take a bite or two but it doesn't give me the same satisfaction it used to like in my mindless eating days. I still treat myself to occasional chai at a Indian restaurant. But don't miss the Starbucks addictions. Funny how much surgery changed me not just physically. I think my new guilty pleasure will be upgrading my clothing, shoe and jewelry wardrobes. Nothing that I owned a year ago fits and I was hesitant about getting rid of everything all at once but it's high time I let go of my fat clothes. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Pain After Taking Laxative
Like most Bariatric patients, I sometimes require help for BM. Couple of times I noticed acute pain in my abdomen after taking laxative. Once I even ended up in ER. Does anyone else have similar reaction to laxatives? What am I doing wrong? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Cheese
I don't eat cheese on a daily basis. As much as I love it. I will eat it when i entertain. I am concerned about its saturated fat content after watching shows like my 600lb life, Supersize vs Superskinny and Fat Doctor. So these days cheese is a treat.

Hitting Protein Goal wihtout shake!
Im over 10 months out and still rely on shakes to hit my Protein goals. Some days its a challenge to consume 100 grams of protein in solid form. I would rather drink it than go without it. Pounds are still coming off so I'm happy. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
