  5. So here's the thing, Nonmembers cannot request to be in a secret group. You can only be added if an existing member invites you. I will have to make it a closed group, at least for now.

  13. The only thing that stinks is that I will be on my 2 week liquid diet during Christmas! But that's okay. I much rather suffer now than push my surgery back! Congrats everyonr! We are so close!
  14. Who's getting their surgery in January? I just got my insurance approval today, and I meet with my surgeon Wednesday the 16th of Dec. The scheduler said that I will most likely get my surgery on the 5th of january because he only has one scheduled on the 5th, and he is out of the office until my appointment! I am beyond excited!
  15. You're lucky! All i can have 2 weeks before surgery is clear, sugar free liquids and 3 protein shakes a day! I got my insurance approval today, surgery on Jan 5th! Good luck!!!!

  21. We all know Water and chicken broth, but does anyone have any suggestions on how to mix up the 2 weeks pre-surgery that involves Clear liquids??? And What are some of the best options for the soft foods stage? I am so worried about doing the 2 weeks prior to surgery without my tool. I think with more variations, it might help!

  23. !) Seeing anything but "E" on my scale 2) Not being terrified of Metal/Plastic/camping chairs! I have had one break underneath me at a family reunion--not fun. 3) Being able to find clothes nearly anywhere and not having to pay extra for a little more fabric. 4) Being able to have my sprained ankle heal 5) Getting rid of my joint pain 6) Not being sweaty all the damn time and get rid of my chronic chaffing/rashes! 7) Being able to marry my wonderful fiancee without feeling insecure on one of the best days of our lives. 8) Spending less on Groceries!!!!! 9) Waking up energized- feeling more energized throughout the day. 10) Avoiding as many health problems as I possibly can. 11) Being able to have a much healthier pregnancy when the time is right. 12) Not having to say "I can't right now, I'm in so much pain" when my Fiancee wants to take a long trail walk with me. 13) Not have people overlook me for opportunities- jobs, friends, etc. 14) The Pride! Knowing that I did what was best for me, and I gave it my all. I could keep going, but i will save you guys! lol
  24. I have my first consultation with the Surgeon next thursday (9/10) and I am very excited! I have maine community health options for insurance so I'm hoping everything will go smoothly. I dont know what the requirements are yet, unfortunately, but hopefully I will find out then. I have been doing research on this for years, and finally am in a spot where i am eligible and able to do it. I refuse to wait longer than i absolutely have to. I want to change my life and eating habits NOW! I dont want to develop comorbitities. Heart problems run heavily in my family, too. I think it might be easier to do this while im young so I dont pick up more bad habits. Nice to talk to you, Joy!
