  1. I was never a big fan of plain H2O, I always added something like crystal light. After sleeve I LOVE spa water! I put frozen fruit in my water bottle and drink all day long. YUMMY
  2. I couldn't have said it better myself. I still watch but cringe when she blames her weight on PCOS. I also struggle with that syndrome. While I fully blame PCOS for my chin hairs, I realize my obesity is because of the food I have consumed.
  3. I'm so glad someone was brave enough to put this out there. I have been on my preop liquid diet for 10 days now and I started getting loose stools yesterday. I googled it and read that it's common for a liquid diet. However I wouldn't describe my case as severe and would definitely recommend that you call the doctor.
  4. 10/22 surgery date and already can't sleep! Just ready for this to be over already!
  5. Of course I am a little scared. I think that if we weren't a little nervous we wouldn't be taking this seriously enough. After all, it is a lifelong commitment to a new you. But I'm worth it and so are you!
  6. Today I tried a new drink cupcake batter by protein milkshake. It truly tasted just like cupcake batter! Super yummy, but who can drink an entire cup of batter? I will try the other flavored real soon. Especially since they have a money back guarantee. I bought on Amazon, but they have their own site.
  7. Really? When do you suggest weigh ins?
  8. I am also on my preop diet, day 8. I am feeling ok but I'm really wanting food today. It didn't help that someone brought donuts into work today...... Ugh
  9. Ohhhh, I had Protein Milkshake in cupcake batter today, yum yum
  10. I went to the website and found a phone number. They sent 15 samples for $15
  11. I bought the isolate zero carb today. I will try it in the morning
  12. In your coffee, that's pure genius! Thanks. I will definitely try that post op
  13. Yippie! Three cheers for Dub! Hip, Hip, Hooray! So glad things went smoothly. I wish you a speedy recovery.
  14. Cookies and cream? Yum Yum! I will be looking for that one.
  15. Thanks everyone! Keep those tips coming! Too bad those proteins cost so much, or we could try them all!
  16. The unknown is always scary. Going back to a new boss would suck, but you seem like the type of guy that will get along with anyone. So please try not to worry about it. and yes our heads are singing Europe together.
  17. I feel like you're talking directly to me. Today is day 4 of my pre-op diet. Good news is that I am not hungry, bad news is that I failed! I heard the cookie dough calling my name from the fridge. I thought I would just hold it in my mouth. But then I swallowed. I am so disappointed in myself (and I am mad at hubby for not tossing it when I was feeling weak earlier this week)! So far my favorite broth is the Top Ramon packets. And I live with Crystal Light, SF Jello, and SF popsicles. Just hang in there. I find it is better when I am busy and not at home alone. So from here on out I am calling on all my friends to entertain me with walks and shopping.
  18. I am 11 days out and worried I am missing something too. Deep cleaning, scheduling auto bill pay, went shopping for post of foods, and made a manual of how to do my job while I am out. I still want to make a schedule for myself on when to drink, eat, take meds, and Vitamins for myself. I want to make sure I get all my fluids in. If you think of anything else please let me know. I have this nagging feeling that I am missing something. A friend at work said I am so focused on this because it's something I have control over. I think she is right.
  19. Dub I love you! Now Is it me or can I hear an anthem playing in the background as I read your post? Any of the following will do... Europe - The Final Countdown Right Said Fred - I'm Too Sexy LMFAO - Sexy and I know it Your pick! Now paranoia is healthy. Hand-wash, hand-wash, hand-wash!!! I am super Healthy (not germaphobe). Hope you don't end up nakie and you drop it like it's hot. Have a happy, healthy, safe surgery!
  20. The hospital I work at we encourage people not to bring items. All items will need to be inventoried to make sure nothing gets lost. That said I plan on bringing my iPad, charger and glasses. I will go and come in the same clothes. and I am wearing a sports bra with no underwire.
  21. I am so happy to see another post about Protein drinks. I am struggling to choke them down myself. I have a lid on my cup with a straw and that helps a ton! Although after surgery no straws allowed. I have tried the Premier in chocolate and thats been the best for me so far. I have to blend it with ice though. I have also tried nectar, injury, and premier in vanilla. I have also tried putting unfalvored in my Soup instead. Today I purchased more brands online. Please let me know what trick works for you in the end!
  22. I work in a hospital I am required to get my flu shot. I wanted to make sure I got it in enough time prior to surgery for my body to recover if I felt any side effects. I allowed 2 weeks to be on the safe side. I would encourage anyone to get the flu shot prior. Hospitals tend to have lots of germs.
  23. I am on day 4 of my pre-op diet and I still don't like my Protein drink. The Premier Protein drinks are not bad, but I have to blend them with ice first. It must be a texture thing. Please tell me what you like....
