  1. You'll find no judgement here! When I first began researching it most of the people I found were older and said the same thing! That helped me make my own decision. I've been over weight my entire life. I've tried many different diet plans since I was thirteen years old. I've had numerous gym memberships. With my insulin resistance issue and PCOS the weight just never comes off. Or I'll loose 20 lbs and gain it back when I get stressed out. This surgery is my final resort. I'm happy I'm making this decision, but I am nervous. Never be afraid to message me! Since we are sort of in the same situation it would be nice to have someone to talk to! ???? Definitely keep going! You will make progress! ???????????? Keep me posted!
  2. Are you happy you're making this decision now instead of later on? ???? How are you doing so far? ???? Are you happy that you made the decision when you did? ???? I feel like some people may not understand such as friends. I'm glad I'm not alone! How is it it going for you do far? ????
  3. Good luck to you too! ???????????? That's awesome! I definitely might send you some questions!
  4. Thank you! I wish you the best of luck too! ????
  5. That's awesome that you won't be on your meds after surgery! I have finished all my appointments and the only thing left for me to do is meet with the surgeon to set up my surgery date! Good luck with your surgery! ????
  6. I'm really happy there are other younger people making this decision! Thank you guys for commenting and good luck on your journey! To those that are still pre op, stay connected with me. I don't have a surgery date quite yet, but I hope to have it within the next couple weeks!
  7. Awesome! Thank you for commenting! I was starting to think there wasn't very many people my age having surgery!
  8. Thank you! I'm pretty worried about that to be honest. Lol
  9. I am only 19 years old and will be turning 20 by the end of this month. I decided to have this surgery about a month and a half ago and I've already completed my pre-surgery checklist. I should be able to schedule my surgery within the next few weeks. I've noticed that when I research the sleeve and success stories, not many of the sleevers are young like me. Is anyone else having this surgery in their early 20's? It would be great to connect with some individuals who made this decision at a young age such as I am!

  13. I'm definitely looking forward to not taking my meds too! Lol I definitely plan to post on these forums throughout my journey. This has been so helpful!
  14. You got a surgery date that soon?! That's awesome! I hope I have the same luck as you! I wish the best for luck to you too! ????
  15. I just finished my last appointment before I get to schedule my surgery today! I'm so excited and I have even lost some weight on my own. I have lived my whole life being over weight. I have had insulin resistance and PCOS for nearly half of my life. I thought I'd be more nervous after making this decision, but to be honest, I wish I could have the surgery as soon as tomorrow! I am definitely ready to simply feel healthy for the first time in my life! I hope to work very hard and truly use this surgery as my tool for success! I already have a gym membership in place and I've taken time off from school to really focus on myself. I can't wait to start my journey and join everyone in their success stories. I'm truly blessed to have this opportunity to change my life. Wish me luck! ????
  16. I have a membership there, but I didn't know they had free trainers!
  17. I'm just starting out my process to schedule my sleeve surgery. I'm hoping to schedule my surgery this December after my semester at college. I would really love to shed some weight on my own before my surgery and change my habits in preparation for it. I've already changed my diet and eating habits which helped me lose about 10 to 15 pounds already. However, I'm having difficulty finding good workout routines! Does anyone know of good tutorial websites, YouTube videos, etc that teach you how to properly lift weights? Or of any good cardio workouts? I do have a gym membership which makes it easier. Although, I find myself going and doing the same old thing which I know will not help me!.
