  1. At this point I just want to know it was sent, but I can't even get that answer ????
  2. I called my insurance back yesterday and they still haven't gotten anything! Emailed my surgery coordinator and haven't gotten a response from her, it's been a week since they told me they were scanning my paperwork to send it in. So frustrated!
  3. I'm so impatient especially when you are told it's being submitted and then insurance tells you they haven't received anything a week later.
  4. That's a long time, I'm hoping for a date that week also, bc my husband travels so much he is home 3/14-3/28 and I would much rather have it while he is here.
  5. I'm giving until Friday then I will call my surgeons office and my insurance again.
  6. It's been a week since I got the call that everything was being scanned to be sent to insurance, but my insurance hasn't gotten anything yet. I started this journey in June of last year, I'm just so impatient and ready to start my new journey!
  7. Well I called insurance and they haven't received anything from my Surgeons office. They told me Tuesday I was finished and they were submitting everything.
  8. And the wait is on!!!! Paperwork has been submitted to insurance. Anyone have this insurance and know how long it typically takes for approval?
  9. Finally I have my last appointment today and then everything can be submitted to insurance ???? it's been a long 7 months, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just hope insurance gives an answer quickly.
  10. I can't remember exactly, but I believe it just depends on your plan. Some only have to do 3 months.
  11. Typically how long after everything is submitted to insurance by the surgeons office are you approved? All they are waiting on is my sleep clearance letter, clearance letter from my family physician. My last dr appointment will be the week of February 15 so this will complete my 7 months weight monitoring required by insurance.
  12. I have a 6 month weight program to follow also, I've had my psychological evaluation, waiting for them to call to schedule my sleep study, I go to the dietitian September 22, and support group on September 19. So 5 more months of seeing my Dr and a sleep study I should be good to go!
  13. I went for my 1st appt with my surgeon on 6/29 and with my insurance which is Empire BCBS of New York, I have to have a clearance letter from my primary Dr, sleep apnea evaluation, psychological evaluation, nutritional evaluation, 3 yrs of medical records and I have to do a 7 month weight loss program. Plus a nutrition class & a support group meeting. Hoping it goes quickly!

  15. Tomorrow is my very first appointment with my doctor. Just wondering what to expect on the 1st visit?
  16. Good luck! I called my ins directly also, and all I got was I had to go to my first appt they also gave me a # for the Dr's office to call after my appt. more confusion than anything ????
  17. I'm just beginning my journey and my first appointment is 6/29. All the ins stuff really confuses me! Does anyone have this type of insurance and know what "hoops" you have to go through?
