  1. I was banded on May 20th and I have had this mucus issue since. I went to my post op doc appointment last week but forgot to mention it with all my other questions I was asking - LOL. Now I am getting to the point I can't hardly enjoy my food cause my mouth fills with the mucus and I can't swallow it along with my food so I just spit it out. If I feel thirsty I get a lot of mucus then too. Has anyone experienced this? I am getting really tired of spitting up this mucus especially when it is really thick. It is clear so I guess that is one good thing. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
  2. I am 5 days post op and my chest still fills tight and it feels like something is in my throat. I am still on the liquid phase and I have been walking. I have been more hungrier today the rest of the days and still can't get all my Water and Protein in. Not sure what to do at this point. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  3. Hi KlippyKat, It took me over a year and I finally made the leap to change my life for the better. I was banded on May 20th and had a hernia repair. Lots of pain the first couple of days but now things are getting better. I don't eat a lot and still trying to figure out how to get all my protein and water in each day. Popsicles are my friend. Don't worry about anything everything will be great.
  4. Hi April02, I am glad you are doing well. It is just one day at a time.
  5. Hi everyone. My surgery was May 20th and it is hard to get all the protein and water in throughout the day. I am trying very hard as I don't want to get dehydrated either. I have not had a bowel movement as of yet and I am going to take MOM tomorrow.
  6. Hi everyone!! I purchased the Bariatric Advantage chewable and was told not to start taking any chewable a until my 2nd week. I had my surgery on May 20th.
  7. @Bandista...I am feeling better today. I am being walking more and timing myself. I too have been doing like jump jacks arms and windmill while walking sitting straight up in a chair. I have noticed that the pain is not as bad and I am trying to ween myself off these narcs. Thanks for checking on me & I really appreciate any & all support. Hope all is well with you.
  8. @@JustWatchMe, I am a bit obsessed with the scale and I know I should stay away from it. I will give it my best try though. I am excited about my new journey and so far I am doing everything by the book.
  9. Thanks SweetTeach. After I posted last night I continued to walk a little more and things got better. I am taking the GasX strips as well. I will continue to walk and get someone to massage my shoulders. I am sure each day will get better. For some reason am unable to sleep past 6am so now I am up and will get my walk started. I will keep u posted
  10. I am new to site but wanted to get a buddy. I had my surgery on May 20th and I am in a lot of pain (had to get hernia repair as well). There is just one spot that's giving me the blues. I have this gas in my shoulders that is slowly going away then coming back. I am able to get down Popsicles, water, ice chips, small amount of protein shakes and chicken broth. But between yesterday I feel full. I have walked to try to help and it does but still have the full filing. Anyone got suggestions? Thanks!!!
