  1. Suzy, where are you in the group photo?
  2. Katy: I'm happy your sad eyes cried happy tears. What is the time difference between the east coast of the US and Australia? I want to be actively praying for you during your surgery on Monday.
  3. Katy, you are going to do well, we won't have it any other way. Your post was beautiful, thank you. You have done amazingly well with all of your problems. Hang in there kiddo, we're all pulling for you. Trenia: Welcome to the board, this is the best group I've ever talked with. They are all very supportive and we really do care about each other. As far as weighing yourself, we've all been there done that. It doesn't make any difference how many times I weigh myself, only one day of the week counts. For me it's Wednesday all the other days are just fyi. You can however drive yourself crazy if you weigh your self to much because we have fluctuations in our weight all during the day. So, stick to having the weight only count on one day and you'll be good.
  4. I never liked to look at pictures of myself and never let my picture be taken, only now, I can't stop looking at my pics and wondering what I'll look like in another 40. You all should start posting some pics now, I'd love to see them, especially with the weight loss you all have had. Grey: Hope things go well with your refill. I wouldn't like not seeing my surgeon. He does my fills and is the only one I see. He has NP's that work in his office but I've never seen them. Good Luck
  5. Katy: I am soooooooo sorry to hear that your band has slipped for the second time. You have been and will continue to be in my prayers for a safe surgery and a speedy recovery and that you will not gain any of the weight you've lost back. Keep us posted as to how you're doing
  6. Hey Lucy and VZ, thanks for looking at my pics and the comments. I was amazed when my husband showed them to me. Can't wait for the next 40 lbs to go. Lucy, I'm glad your fill feels right for you. Theres nothing like being at the right place with a fill.
  7. Here are 3 pics=june is when I had surgery, august was 2 months, and then today at 8 months.
  8. Hello: I just posted an album of 3 pics of my rear end what a difference. Go take a look. The title is Lozin Susan
  9. Congrats to each of you for your 100 lb mark. What an accomplisment. Can't wait for you to get to Onederland. I don't ever want to go back to the 200's again. I have another NSV to share: Last night I baby sat for 3 of my grand-daughers. When their parents came home my DD and DS were sitting around talking. I got up to leave and my DS, says, wow are you little!! He said your backside is almost nonexistant and your belly is gone. Then he hugged me. What does the boy want from me, because right about now, I'd give him anything! Thanks for letting me share, and if I get on your nerves just tell me to shut the flap, but honestly, I love nonsolicited compliments.
  10. Steve, I couldn't access the u=tube site to see your guitar. My husband builds guitars also.
  11. Gosh, you are all still in my prayers. As for weight loss, I also will go a few weeks without losing and then drop 5-8 lbs. Since it's been six months, I am used to that kind of weight loss pattern. Since I had my surgery and 3 fills, I can honestly say, I don't crave food like I did before surgery as long as my band is tight enough. Let it losen up and it's a whole different story. When my band is tight, I have to remind myself to eat and I've noticed when my weight loss slows down, it's because I'm not eating enough. I eat what I want to, however, I try to make wise choices and when I do eat something like ice cream, it's once in awhile and not everyday like it used to be. I eat my protein first and all else seems to fall in place. I've said it before, I have been so Blessed with this whole process. Hugs to you all, Susan
  12. Long: I am soooooooooooooooo happy for you and your wt. loss. How exciting that must be. Hugs, Hugs, Hugs. I hope your tooth feels better real soon. Toy: I am glad you are feeling better, I've been holding you up in prayer. Katy: how are you feeling? Have you had your testing done yet? We all need to join together and hold you up to the Lord for healing.Only say the word Lord and I shall be healed, Amen. Melody: Wow what a weight loss, are you making sure you are getting in all the protein? I think that's what kept me from feeling weak.
  13. Toy: You are in my prayers. It sounds miserable. I was so Blessed with a very smooth and uneventful recovery. I am laying hands on you now and standing in the gap for you that Jesus will touch your body and take that nausea and vomiting away. Amen
  14. Let's see, what will tomorrow bring? 100 lbs lost for 3 very special people? Can't wait for your posts. You'll get there. I was just thinking about something. My grandfather always said that if you sit and watch water waiting for it to boil, it never will but as soon as you walk away, it starts to boil. Maybe, a day away from the scale, o never mind, it would probably put you all in the lunnie bin, you'd be having anxiety attacks, etc. So here's to tomorrow, that you all make it to 100
  15. blklab70: Welcome to the board. We are all here to help you because we have all walked in your shoes. I remember my surgery day as well as I remember the births of my children. It was kind of a birth for me and the start of a new journey. God's blessings for a safe journey.
  16. Long, wow 97 lbs. I can't wait to celebrate with you when you reach that 100 lb mark and welcome you to onederland! I struggled with 3-5 lbs it seemed like forever to get to onederland. I am sooooo excited for you.
  17. OK, so here's a cool NSV. I walked into a meeting yesterday at work and I was greeted by someone with, "Well hello, slim". I stopped and looked around and my co-worker was laughing and she said, I'm talking to you. I want to go with you when you buy your bikini this summer slim. OMG, what a high that put me on. I just had to share. Thanks for all of your support and love to me on this site. Now, lets all go and seize the day!
  18. Katydid: Has your doctor looked at your Gall Bladder? I really hope you get some relief as soon as possible
  19. Yep, you are 100% on the mark, Indio-girl. Lizalee, make sure you are eating your protein. I'm telling you, that is what keeps me from being hungry, real or otherwise. Forget the cereal in the morning. Eat protein. I have a protein drink almost every morning. It's 110 calories, 4 gm of carbs and 17 gms or protein. Eat greek style yogurt, 17 grams of protein, eat cottage cheese, eat eggs. Stop eating bars, they trick us into thinking we're eating healthy when we're not, most of them have way to many calories and carbs. I also am not on a diet. I eat what I want but I am more discriminating as to what I choose to eat.Notice that I am in control of what I choose, not what my addiction chooses. Liza it's hard and it's a journey that you are not on alone. You have had an amazing weight loss thus far. Stop making excuses and eat protein first, vegies second, and lastly carbs. You can do it! I'll be praying for you to have the strength.
  20. Gosh, we are all doing really great! I think it's natural for the weight loss to slow but it is frustrating when it does. I am crawling right now with my weight loss, but I did finally make it to onederland as I told you all last week and now I'm sitting still. Well, let's all keep up the good work. I guess for me, I'm never going to change my eating lifestyle from what it is now, so I guess it doesn't matter how soon I get to my goal weight. Love you all, Susan
  21. Welcome and congats to all the new bandsters, this is an awsome site. I was banded in june of 08 and I just hit Onderland, whoohoo! I sat at 203-205 for about 4 weeks and I finally moved off the 200 mark. I now have lost more than I need to lose. I would really love to be at goal by june, but, we'll see. I guess it doesn't make any difference when I get there, just that i do get there.
  22. I know what you guys mean. I hovered at 203-205 for like 4 wks. It was driving me crazy. I actually started about 2 weeks ago doing a dance class and I've really been trying to work with my diet. What I've noticed is, I have a tendency not to eat enough food. Once I bump it up, I start to lose weight again. So, this past week, I went all out to get in my protein so I could convince my body that I was indeed not STARVING so it could let go of the extra fat. I am pulling for you guys. Keep me posted on Onederland
  23. Not sure my ticker updated
