The sleeve is so worth it!!!! the Emotions are up and down., i am glad you had your surgery. I eat low carb, we are not supposed to eat the old ways. But our journeys are all different. God bless in your Journey!! Happy New Year!!

I might have her name wrong virden and also cindy Lopez. Shes got a daughter Felicia whos in a lots of her you tube videos.. I have been blessed with tons of support family and online.

I had my own doubts look up Dr Duc vuong hes a sleeve surgeon in Texas and Dr Guillermo Alveraz in New mexico. Do a lot of the positive you tube videos skip the negative ones!!!! i am 7 months sleeve. No complications. No regrets!!!! yes i nearly cancelled my surgery too, glad i did not!!!!! i have a life and health, i am now 153 size 16 i was a 3x i was diabetic. I used a cain sometimes a walker!!! no way to live!!! lifes to short to remain obese. But you got to get in a positive mind set. Ignore negative jealous people!!!! i still have struggles sweets. Which i use sugar free and low carb. This girls committed!!! you. Can do it too !!!! its so very worth it. I prayed a lot about it, i prayed before my surgery, i have a deep faith in God!!! good Luck!

My best advice to you hon ignore tbe negativity. Alot of it, is because , they did not do what tbey were suppossed to do, i am age 57 lost 105 pounds maybe 30 or so to go i was 258. i do low carb . But everyones journey is different, best thing i ever done!!! I am off Insulin. Blood Pressure med. And Cholesterol med, i am 5"2. I also Take Armour Thyroid 60 mgs Daily .i. am Hypothyroid. I have sleep apnea which i hope soon to. Get rid of the cpap for sleep apnea, i never Regret my surgery, i will never ruin it. Its a new mind set and a whole new life style. We are worth it!!!! I do a lot of low carb eating? What types of eating do you do? I know we are not supposed to go back to our old ways of eating or drinking.

Wow we are sleeve sisters, i had surgery same day too!!!

I was 258 i started my Journey back in Feb 9,2015, day of surgery May 21,2015. I weighed 223.7 now i am nearly 7 months post op vertical sleeve gasterectomy, i am now 154, i hope to lose to 125or 130, to date i have lost 104 pounds, i am off insulin, blood pressure medicine, cholesterol medicine, i have a happier healthier life, i still for now have a cpap for sleep apnea. But pressure reduced to 8 from 11, i am age 57 5"2 tall. I am hypothyroid. I take 60 mgs of Armour Thyroid, daily, i never regret my surgery, i am also very low carb. I will never ruin my sleeve.

Sleeve surgery

I have lost over 23 pounds via low carb had to put my insulin pump on I got a surgery date, am I doing whats right? I am sort of thrown not knowing if this is right. I was doing good from feb 9th till past few days I feel sick had to put pump on with insulin I feel awful.will this go away? I am 57 I am hypothyroid on blood pressure med, Water pill, I am on med for cholesterol zetia, anxiety, pain meds, muscle relaxers, med for anxiety, klonopin. now with the insulin pump on I am scred of gaining weight I lost, I was told at srat of vsg no diet but not to gain over 257 or no surgery, I lost to 233, now I am having issues. I have had no endo for several motnths to help me with my thyroid and my insulin . so I have had to do this my own way, my primary care has to clue how to treat me . I fel just lost and throwm n out to fin for myself. I want to know if I should proceed with the vsg surgery or to cancel it!!!!

I am not sleeved yet I am 56 I because if back knee left rotator cuff issues been pretty slack on excercise. I hope I can over come my shyness and join a gym.
