  1. I agree with you! Today has not been easy and it's painful. Just reminding myself why I did this and how happy I'll be in the end. Anyone else having a hard time getting in their protein/liquids? I have been sipping on Isopure all day and I'm only at 20 ounces. I was told if I didn't get in 48 ounces in I would have to go get an IV started.
  2. I'm right there with you! Got home today from the hospital and or getting the meds through the IV is killing me! I'm not having fun with crushing up the pain meds but I have to because of all the pain! I am having a difficult time with the pain also but I have had no gas pains, yet. Are we supposed to be crushing up our meds? I've just been swallowing them, the doc didn't give me instructions to crush them.
  3. Ty! I was discharged this afternoon and I am home in my bed. The pain in my right side is horrible, I had no clue it would hurt this bad. That is my only complaint. Can't wait to get through these first few weeks
  4. I am currently trying to get down an ounce of water. Not to bad, not yet anyway. If I could get rid of the pain in my side if feel so much better. Ty so much! I am so excited to see what the future holds????
  5. Wow! You are doing an amazing job! I just had my surgery today , I can't wait to do an update on my weight in a few months???? reading your post gives a lot of encouragement. Ty!
  6. Hey Michelle My name is Julia. I also had my surgery today. I went back around one and was in recovery around 3 and in my room by 5. I haven't had any nausea and I'm so thankful. Sorry you did. I can only imagine how horrible that was. I have had pain in my side that I'm having to deal with, they tell me it's from the hernia repair. Like you, my mouth is soooo dry and my throat hurts a bit and texting is much better over trying to talk. I feel like my breath is horrible! What sucks they have a Starbucks in this hospital and advertisements up all around. Lol I'm so excited to see where this journey takes me and wish everyone else the best on their journey also ????
  7. Hi all, my name is Julia. I've been on here for a little while now and have really enjoyed reading everyone's post. I am writing this from the hospital bed. I was sleeved this afternoon. So far, all is well. I went in at 1 and was in the recovery room around 3. Made it to my room around 5. I have had some pain on my right side but the nurse said that is from the hernia that was repaired while he did the sleeve. The only gas pain I had was when in the recovery, it has gone away since than. I have been getting around pretty good by myself and have even walked the halls a few time. The one thing that has just about drove me crazy is the fact that I can't have any liquids. My mouth is so dry, my throat hurts and I feel like my breath is horrible. I am so excited about this journey and would like wish everyone the best on their journey???? All smiles before the surgery and than coming back from the recovery room I am 5 "7" HW 236 SW 215 I had to do a 4 week Optifast I can't wait to update my weight in a few months ????
  8. I'd love to know how you two are doing????
  9. Thx for responding! I had to wait six months and I thought it was a long process but now I just can't wait to get past the first few weeks. Best of luck to you too on your journey ????

  13. Did anyone have a breast reduction before having the sleeve surgery? I had a breast reduction a few years back and will have the sleeve surgery on May 26th. I had no clue back than that one day I would have the sleeve surgery or I would have waited. Just wondering if anyone else did the same thing and what their results were.
  14. Hi everyone! I'm having surgery May 26th, anyone else having surgery that day?
