Was banded 7 weeks ago today. If there is anything I miss it is DIET COKES. I have took a sip or two now and then with no ill effects I am not a coffee drinker in the am, have either gone with out or tried to get some hot tea down, or even ice tea so are diet drinks or carbonated beverages a TOTAL NO NO??

It has been about 6 weeks since I had my lap band surgery, all has been well.......but starting yesterday my port area is really sensitive and sore. Any thoughts on why this might be??? Has any one else had this problem???? Sues05

:cry I had surgery with Dr. Spiegel July 28th, at the surgicenter Received my explanation of benefits only to find out the surgicenter is out of network. No, I did not check on this before hand, but now am really stressing over the money it may cost. Called the surgicenter the referred me to their main office, she was not able to tell me how much it is going to cost me out of pocket, because they have not received the payment from UHC yet. HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS? AS, I said I KNOW I should have asked about this before hand, but it also seems like someone could have told me this at the surgicenter!?!?!?!?

I go for my first fill 8/24. Anything I need to know about that????? an area support group sounds good.

Hey, Nita. Yes Freindswood is not far away. I was banded July 28, Dr. Speigel did mine. Have lost 16 pounds so far. I live in Seabrook. Have you had a fill yet?

Is there anyone from the Clear Lake, Seabrook, Kemah, League city areas with lap band????

Took small bites, and small sips worked much much better. I am having more trouble getting enough water in. BUT then I woke up a little queasy this morning.
