  1. Thank you for the pep talk, I needed that. I do attend 2 support groups a month and that does help too.
  2. VSGAnn2014 what happens within 30 days of surgery that people die? Is this just typical of WLS or any surgery? Thank you everyone that has replied. I've been searching for someone in my age group to talk with and help to sort out my feelings and fears.
  3. I'm going through the steps for VSG and have been in this process for a while. I've been researching it for 5 months. I watch and subscribe to some VSG and weight loss vlogs. One of the gals mentioned that a woman in Texas died while havinf weight loss surgery on Oct. 31st. Nothing was said about the type or what happened to this poor lady. This has really thrown me for a loop, am I doing the right thing and just how dangerous is it? I'm 65 years old and wonder if it's safe to have the surgery.
