  1. Lovedxjesus I feel your sentiments exactly. I think its just a mind thing but after surgery you have no choice but to eat right
  2. Ok I know that I'll be on my liquid diet starting September 12th (09/30 surgery date). Did anyone else (no pun intended or harm) pig out on food before their scheduled diet? I have never wanted so many different foods in my life. I don't even like McDonalds yet I bought a cheeseburger and fries today. What the hell is going on here!? I'm feeling like I need to indulge or soar my oats as if I'm getting married or something. Am I the only person who is experiencing this?
  3. I. Don't plan on telling anyone except my mother and my daughter knows. I don't feel ashamed I just have better things to do than constantly explaining my procedure and I why I chose this as opposed to dieting lol. Most people don't understand the amount of testing, debating, research, praying, and soul searching that is done before we even get to that first seminar and dr's appt. so I think I'll spare them and myself the time and the reliving if a terrifying ordeal.
  4. Thx winning by losing. I'm ok I can always wear a wig and since I haven't had a boyfriend in almost two years getting naked is not a problem Sagging skin can be toned I'm praying that since I didn't go up and down in my Weightloss I hope the sagging isn't extreme.
  5. I'm going to learn Victoria's Secret ! :-)
  6. Ok I'll be able to finally go to a New Year's Eve party and I might get a kiss. Lol
  7. Congratulations!! My surgery date is seotember 30th! I'm so ready for change. Just think by Christmas we will be able to wear the cute red leggings. That's my Christmas present to myself :-)
  8. How soon do you plan to return to work. I have my surgery on September 30. I work two jobs and go to school my primary job in taking two weeks off but my secondary job I'm only taking off one week. Is this doable?
  9. Shauna29 you cracked me up!:-). I'm going to stay prayed up because my life is going to dramatically change. I'm looking forward to my underwater and bra matching lol.
  10. I have four weeks before my September 30th RNY surgery. :-). I'm finding myself dreaming about a smaller woman. I'm looking and wondering who is this beautiful (yes I'm vain lol) woman. It's me and I'm in clothing that are sheik and classy. No ugly flower prints. Am I crazy for relishing in this dream and wanting it to be true?
  11. I've been reading the blogs and I keep running across hair loss, sagging skin, dumping. Is there a silver lining in the dark cloud of rny. I have my surgery September 30. Is there anything I can do now to prevent some of this? The good thing (I guess) is that once I gained my weight I never lost it so maybe my skin will not sag.
  12. Thanks carolk36. I need all the support and prayers I can get!
  13. It took my insurance company two days to approve my surgery. My surgery date is September 30th. I'm so excited and grateful. I'm imagining running again like I did when I was active duty Navy. I'm grateful to my predecessors for starting this blog site. :-)
  14. Thx ready2B I'm looking forward to the new me. Good luck to you!
  15. I just got the call from Humana that I was approved for RNY. I cried and called my surgeon's office. My surgery date is September 30th! I'm on top of the world !!!
  16. I have completed my sleep study, psych eval, and I had my third visit Monday. I got a letter from my PCP stating my surgery is medically necessary and that was what my insurance company required. I have Humana Platinum PPO. I'm concerned about me not doing the six month straight of Weightloss. I wonder will my surgeon look at this and not want to do my surgery. I have tried everything and everyday trying to lose weight including paying a personal trainer $1500 to lose 5 pounds. I'm nervous and anxious and I start school soon. Does anyone know if the deductible is due before it after surgery? I have limited funds from all the copays.
  17. Thank you I'm just extremely nervous. It took me three years if doing research and trying to lose weight the "normal" way. I'm soooo excited about the prospect of a newer healthier me. Can't wait until tomorrow. Ill keep you guys posted because I'm gonna need support.
  18. I have my 3rd visit tomorrow and I don't know what to expect. I contacted my insurance company today and they said that I should be approved as soon as my dr. submits paperwork. I'm curious as to what now? Does anyone know?
