  1. No I had my EKG today so now it's exactly one week left. Yeah new me
  2. I'm born again and I thank my Lord and savior Jesus Christ that Humana approved my surgery in two days and despite being financially strained I managed to get all my copays in on time. God is and I'm his !
  3. My surgery date is September 30th also!:-). I don't care what anyone thinks about me and my decision to have gastric bypass because no one but me has to inject themselves with insulin three times a day while trying to work two jobs and go to school but me. My friends understand and those who don't are afraid that I'll look better than I do now. I will put me first because I'm worth it!
  4. I'm on my pre op protein diet and I am limited to 1000 cal. I had 450 Val's for the whole day but I did eat three cups of microwave popcorn. Will this enlarge my liver? It's crazy counting calories. Help!!!
  5. Don't cry no news is good news at this point. You'll be ok and just stay and think positive. I too struggled but I remained determined and my date is September 30th. Stay focused!!
  6. These are the vitamins my Nutritionist recommended after my surgery. With optisource it eliminates the need to take multiple pills on your new pouch. I'll take two in the morning and two at night. They taste great as well.
  7. I have my surgery on September 30th. Has anyone made jello using the flavorless protein powder?
  8. James I can't wait to replace my entire wardrobe too. Thank you for your story
  9. Thank you for reaching out to me. I have my surgery September 30th. Anxious as heck!
  10. Thank you Tracy. I needed that. What date is your surgery scheduled and do you have support?
  11. I find that the closer I get to my surgery date, the less attractive I find myself. What's going on here I always prided myself as a BBW(Big Beautiful Woman), but now I see a "fat" slob. I'm seeing flaws that I have never seen before. I'm wondering if this is how the world have been seeing me for years. I dress nicely I get my hair and nails done; however now I'm just not feeling sexy or beautiful. I keep fantasizing about who I might be or what I will look like after surgery. Can anyone else identify with this? I know it sounds crazy trust me I'm a counselor but I still can't help but to critically observe myself. I know surgery is not the answer but I would like to wear the clothes in my closet and they fit. Is that too much to ask for? Just getting this off my chest!
  12. Congrats ladies on your oct. 1st date. We're on our way!!
  13. Ok guys it's three more weeks until my surgery date! :-). Yeah! I'm feeling like a winner. I was scared, reluctant, and insecure about having bariatric surgery, but as my surgery date approaches my mood has changed. I'm not afraid of sagging skin or hair loss. I'm afraid of not seeing my only child not graduate high school or being there when she graduates from college. Since her dad is gone I will walk my baby down the aisle one day. These thoughts bring me joy and I'm ready for life and I will no longer exist.
  14. I have humana platinum and I have to pay $250 for the nutritionist. I have. A $1000 deductible which will start after my surgery.
  15. I work in Chicago but I live in Gurnee!
  16. Did you have hair loss and sagging skin after your surgery?
  17. Have any of you had any issues with hair loss and sagging skin?
  18. I love it!!! Ok you have inspired me and you do look pretty damn good. By the way the only people with big asses are the Kardashians. Lol
  19. Thanks for your comment! What about coworkers? I work for the VA which is like a small town. I don't want to be part of the gossip!
  20. Yes I'm terrified but I will no longer be a diabetic and I can go to six flags next year and ride all the rides. By the way I live ten blocks from six flags and I have never gone. Why you ask? Tooooo Fat!!
  21. Thank you for all the support. I'm trying to deal with outside stress and as we all know with stress comes the emotional eating. Please pray for me because I'm not a quitter.
