  1. So I just got my confirmation yesterday for my Sept. 30 date. I'm both excited and scared! Questions started whirling around in my head! What ifs, shoulds, shouldn'ts...then I remembered the reasons I'm on this wonderful life-altering journey and I calmed down. Still nervous and excited but confident as well.
  2. That's absolutely fantastic! Sounds like you've already won! Way to go!
  3. Well you're just awesome sharing this so soon after your surgery! Thank you so much! So glad you're doing so well! Way to go and congratulations!
  4. Sept 30 here! Excited and nervous!
  5. Hi ranece. From what I understand, protein protein protein is the way to combat hair loss. Sagging skin is inevitable but get some pure bovine collagen powder and it may help some. Dumping is avoided by avoiding sugar and by eating teeny tiny bites, not over eating or drinking and by avoiding sugar. Real whole fruit can also cause dumping if you have too much. I'm also having my surgery on the 30th but I have friends who have had the surgery and they are giving me lots of great advice!
  6. Hi. I've been researching healthier Vitamins and Protein. Thorne has a line of some pretty clean vitamins as does Dr. Mercola. I need to find out if these lines are crush-able or if they are capsules that can be opened. I research everything! Also, getting enough protein is crucial to not losing your hair. I'm still researching and will post here as I find healthier alternatives to what is currently being offered or suggested. Hope everyone has a great day! SherriB

  8. Thank you TexasLady. I'm hoping to find something a bit more on the natural side though. I'll still look into what you've suggested. I'm open to find the best I can!!
  9. Hi Everyone! I'm pretty new here and I believe this is my very first post! I'm due for surgery (bypass) on the 30th of September and am looking forward to this very much. What I need to know is, has anyone found any Protein and Vitamins that are Paleo friendly that are liquid (not the protein, obviously!) or chewable and don't have things like soy, any of the 'ose's (fructose, cellulose, malodextrose, etc.) and are not full of fillers, or are sweetened with aspertame, etc.? I'm having a hard time finding these things and am worried that I will have a difficult time with the standard vitamins/protein that have all the other stuff in them that I prefer not to use. Thanks for your help! I'm excited! SherriB
