I am waiting for insurance approval to have my surgery. I was dissappointed to find out that Dr. Malley had left his practice....so I called to find out what was up. The office staff said he had left without warning and has still not contacted them and that he has a restraining order to practice medicine in that area.????? I am going to go meet with Dr. Lopez next, his credentials are as good if not better than Malley's...so we will see.
  2. The Midwest Bariatric Institute in Lenexa, Kansas has actually leased office space in Springfield. They have stated that they are shooting for the end of this month to have office open.
  3. Thank you for the support. I really appreciated the replies. I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend!
  4. I wanted to say hi and introduce myself. My name is Debra and I am a Pre-Op Mom of three(12, 8, and 1.5), living in Missouri. I have UHC (thank goodness) and my first individual appointment With Dr. Stephen Malley is 28 June. I am really excited. I was going to go RNY because I did even know this procedure existed. Thankfully, the surgeon I saw for RNY informed me of this procedure and said he actually preferred it but was not performing it yet. I have already made my mind up to be banded and my family is all very supportive and excited. I can't wait to be able to keep up with my kids(well atleast try).
