  1. My doctors send you home with a 10 day script for the injections you have to give yourself IN YOUR STOMACH!!!! Ugh I hope I can do it, or my daughter who is a CNA may have to come over daily for 10 days on her way to work!!!! LOL
  2. I have BCBS and live in Illinois I am on track to get the sleeve. Try calling again and getting a different customer service agent. Good Luck!
  3. I know of all the things to be scared about mine may be silly, but I am wondering about the lovenox injections you have to give yourself for 10 days after surgery!?!?! I went to the site to read about it, but real life people who have done it may ease my mind better. Is it hard, does it hurt like a regular shot does, does it hurt more being in the stomach area?? Any insight is greatly appreciated!
  4. When I started haveing trouble painting my toe nails, and when I started to notice fat starting to overlap my bra, especially in the armpit area where it shows when wearing a tank top! Also became prediabetic and high cholesterol! Wanted to avoid having to give myself bloodsugar tests and taking more meds. Wanna be able to shop for clothes anywhere, not just specialty stores.
  5. I am sorry you don't have the support you deserve! Just know in your heart that you are doing what is best for your health. Keep your head up and good luck!
  6. Phentramine 8 months, Nutrasystem 2 times, Jenny Craig 3 times, Ace, soup and water diet, and Alli!
  7. I too am seeing one of the Drs from the Kane Center in Hoffman Estates for my wls!! I am doing all my pre surgery appts right now and hopeing for a date for surgery very soon! Good luck to you and maybe we will cross paths sometime! Hope your on the mend from your surgery.
  8. PB2 saved me! I couldn't stand the taste of protien shakes until I discovered it!!! Now I look forward to each shake!
  9. Try adding a product I got from GNC called PB2. Its powder form peanut butter flavor. I couldn't take the protien skakes either until I added this to it and now they are amazing with chocolate protien shakes! Only $4 elsewhere its $9. Try it and good luck!!!!
  10. 2muchfun there is no need to as you say contrite. It was just a question I had. I thought all questions were welcome here. I too will love my thinner self. Gosh!!!
  11. I love so many different foods and love to eat! That's most of my problem I guess!!! I am hopeing that my desire to eat all the time goes away after surgery!!! Does it??? Decided on the Sleeve. Praying that I don't desire food as much after! All input is greatly appreciated!!!
  12. For myself, I have not kept my plans for surgery a secret. I am excited and proud that I am doing something for my health and the way I feel about my weight. I have gotten nothing but support from those around me. Everyone is different I guess. If you don't want others to know about your surgery then just keep telling them your loss is due to diet and exercise, but if your losing a great deal they will probably suspect surgery anyways. Good Luck to you and Congrats on your success.
  13. I thankfully don't have GI problems. No heartburn or reflux history. From what I am finding out, Im leaning towards the sleeve. Thank you all for your input, I really appreciate it
  14. I was set that I was gonna get the bypass surgery, but I don't have a date yet, still doing presurgery appointments. But I am hearing the sleeve is better to get than the bypass!?!? What is the consensus on these two surgeries?? Help please!!!
