  1. the only thing that's a little pain but more uncomfortable is the hole where he pulled out my gallbladder. it was full of stones and infected so it was hard to get out. My surgeon said that is not common. but everything else feels pretty good.
  2. I am three days out. Just had my first shake with no problems. I also have nO pain at all and I had 4 procedures done. I've talked to some people that didn't have any pain. It feels like I didn't do anything. Hopefully that will put some at ease. I just started top have gas today but that's not bad either but I've been walking a lot
  3. http://www.americanmedical-id.com BUT http://www.laurenshope.com has some really stylish ones. I might get another one there.
  4. tomorrow i need to be at the hospital at 6:15. i'm scheduled to go in at 7:30. but i'm wide awake. can't sleep.

  9. i agree on the facebook page. it's easier to keep in touch there. it's easier than weeding through the threads here. but i still love it here for other threads and support
  10. That June post ops thread is from June 2013. i think someone should start a June post op 2014. never mind. i just found the other lol

  14. oh Chris i'm so sorry. poor little guy. ((HUGS))
  15. Tomorrow is the beginning of our month. I hope we keep in touch after our surgeries. when i was on the March date thread, after everyone had their surgeries they all disappeared after.
  16. That is funny about your son.. Good luck on Wednesday... Thanks Zelda. you too. you're right behind me.
  17. Don't think you've done everything for nothing. it will happen. When i originally went in for my bypass on March 17th there was a problem and they had to take care of that instead and now almost 3 months later this Wednesday it will finally happen. check this out. maybe it will help answer that question. http://www.dailystrength.org/c/Gastric_Bypass_Surgery/forum/12481276-diverticulitis
  18. I went today to sign my consent forms for my surgery this coming Wednesday the 4th and had my last visit with my nut before surgery. I told her that I was doing great on my two week preop diet but on Memorial day it was a train wreck. My 8 year old son went with me today and was telling my nutritionist everything that I ate that day. Lol I was thinking "Wait til I get him outside". Lol On the other hand I lost 12 lbs since Monday. I feel a little better now I just noticed my ticker saying 4 more days. it's really sinking in now.
  19. I think it depends on your surgeon. I went in March and was suppose to have my bypass then but they found another issue. anyway I was worried too because I hadn't lost any weight and he said my liver was fine. My surgery finally is this coming week the day after yours and i'm not worried like I was the first time. Did they tell you that you needed to loose?
  20. I had the heparin shot twice a day when I went in March. It felt like a bad bee sting. I hated it.
  21. Some surgeons require a bowel prep and some don't. Mine doesn't. Same with the presurgical diets. some have no diet at all and some have the two week and some have the two day. I often wonder why they all do it different ways.
  22. I have been so obsessed that my surgery seems so far away that I didn't even realize that I start my pre-op diet in three weeks. Once June is here its going to creep up fast. I am so excited!! isn't it funny that most of us including me who have had the 6 month nut visits were annoyed because it seemed so far away at the beginning and now it flew by and we're like omg it came so fast. lol
  23. I will. thank you.
  24. How were the shakes? I only like the chocolate and the chocolate/peanut butter body fortress. i haven't found another brand that I like yet. but i don't like the strawberry or vanilla body fortress.
  25. i got the unflavored and the chicken samplers. She also gave me samples of the barilife powdered multivitamin. it's pretty good. one scoop in the am and one later for bypass. there's unflavored, Cherryberry and orange. $31.99 for a month supply. I like it because it's formulated so you don't have to worry about what vitamins that you can't take together.
