My surgery was 3/20 and for the most part I feel normal. A little tired/winded after light activity and definitely need to sit down and rest more but almost all gas pains are gone. I have had no internal pain or pain from incisions. Some tightness or shortness when eating or drinking but I think that's from overdoing it - because 1 ounce of pudding is too much now, hahaha.
I can't wait...
To ride a bike without the tire going flat.
Sit on a chair/furniture and not worrying about it wobbling or breaking.
Do a cartwheel.
Sit in a booth and not have my stomach touch the table.
Play and be more active with my son.
Not be a lazy ass and always winded doing the simplest of things.
Shop at a "regular" sized person store.
Buy "regular" clothes that don't cost a fortune like the big and tall store.
To get below 280. The lowest weight I ever remember being in my entire life.
Be off blood pressure meds.
Get healthy.

For all the nervous people - my experience was so un-nerve racking leading up. I walked in to the operating room, chatted with the anesthesiologist, the surgeon. Luckily I felt relaxed and I think it really helped me. Just take a few breaths and know that everything will be great!
Hello all. I had gastric bypass RNY on March 20, 2013. My highest weight was 349 (11/12) and I got down to 306 by the morning of surgery. My previous BMI was 46 and I have high blood pressure and borderline cholesterol.
So far everything has been great. Had a lot of gas pain at the beginning but its getting better. Been working hard on getting my Protein and fluids in.
Just wanted to introduce myself!
