  8. It is a device that goes around your abdomen that almost looks like a girdle. It has spandex and elastic in it and is held together with velcro. It helps keeps everything feeling like it is supported when you are moving, sitting up, coughing etc.
  9. You all can add me too if you would like nhnurse
  10. You look beautiful! Great job!
  11. My family decided to go non traditional and because it was supposed to be so nice we had a bbq. We had burgers, hot dogs, sausage, pasta salad, potato salad, chips, cookies, cupcakes, pineapple angel food cake, and on and on. I was very proud of myself, I had one bite of the egg potato salad that i made, other than that, I just had yogurt, sf pudding, and refried beans with sour cream. Although it all looked great, I really didn't have a huge desire for any of it and stayed on track to reach my ultimate goal. So happy with myself!
  12. I will ask for strength and healing for your father in my prayers today, and also for your and your family. I am so proud of you as you should be of yourself for dealing with that stress in a healthy way. Please keep us updated. I will be thinking about you.
  13. That was the hardest part for me too, it was much easier when I rolled to my side first and pushed up on my elbow.
  14. I keep hearing all of you talk about your abdominal binders. I am an OB nurse and I know what they are because a lot of our moms wear them after c-sections. I wonder why my surgeon never suggested that I wear one...hmmm...I think it would have helped me.
  15. Thank you everyone for your words of support. I saw her obituary in the paper and it was surreal. I live in a very small town right next to the town she lives in. I have found out in the past few days that we had a lot of friends in common even though I did not know her personally. This makes it so much harder Her family is hurting but is so strong and are banding together to get through this tough time.
