  1. Yeah its amazing what I used to eat before compared to now! And drinking too. I could down a huge glass in seconds. Now sip sip sip. All day long. Its also amazing how LITTLE a person actually needs to live. Now I finally get that ridiculously small serving size concept for food!
  2. Second that! The liquids will jump start weight loss again.
  3. This is odd. Skim milk is my favorite now. Between that and water is all I ever drink. I can have oatmeal now so it goes with that too.
  4. Ooooooo I had the exact same issues! Get out and stay busy. It helps. It took a good week to week and a half to kick. Getting back to work helped immensely!
  5. Sorry I missed your question. My calorie intake is right at 150 and about a quart per day. Im guessing on the exact water intake but Im pretty much drinking all day on Mio and water.
  6. Oh yeah! The diarrhea can be quite dramatic. Be very careful though. That flatulance may not be gas if you get my drift. It comes like fart, fart, fart, Oh no!!! So be prepared. Again sorry for graphic but there's no better way to say it. I use a heating pad too. I think it helps circulation thus much less pain and quicker healing. And lately I admit Im doing wonderful.
  7. My BMI was 40 with HBP, HC, and sleep apnea. Went to doc with one visit and rather adamantly requested surgery referral. Ok, no problem. Referral went through in 3 days. Tricare paid all but 25. I guess they view it as cheaper now with surgery than to have issues later with other weight related problems.
  8. My wife had lapband about 1.5 months ago. I just had the RNY. She now wishes that she had done RNY like me. I told her I went RNY because Im not going back into another surgery again! So the first time would be my last.
  9. I never really seen myself as fat as my weight grew to 291. But clothes would no longer fit and my family let me know I was big. But looking in the mirror I never seen it. Then after losing 30 pounds now I still don't see any change except for clothes sizes and the wife again. It's very hard for me to "see" changes as well.
  10. HW: 291 SW: 282 on 7 Nov CW: 261 Total loss: 21 pounds in 9 days
  11. My biggest issue is pain in the left side under ribcage and depressed over lack of food. Im trying to break out of depression by cleaning house up today and do some homework but it's difficult.
  12. How is everyone doing? Is everyone on fluid diet after surgery? I am for 2 weeks. Losing weight at 2-3 pounds per day!
  13. OMG Eva we are praying for you! I can't even imagine how bad that must be.
  14. Congrats to everyone who is going in tomorrow! you are about to go to the other side!
  15. Agreed. That's today project: going through clothes.
  16. I completely agree with the other ladies. Should have done this long ago! My biggest issue so far is I can't eat food. Its tough to see it all the time and then eat broth! But when you start seeing weight melt away you'll be happy and you'll be happy for your decision.
  17. This morning I finally had a "movement." Nothing spectacular but my first since operation. Then I walked pretty leisurely for about a mile. That was pushing it a bit too far. Then weighed for another 2 pound loss. Later today Im going to start going through clothes. I need to get rid of a lot of old clothes and clothes that are one too big maybe.
  18. That is a great idea! My hospital had me wearing a gown in front and one in back and a billion wires running everywhere. It was a nightmare getting up to walk and potty, so anything that makes this better is a wonderful idea!
