  1. My son just turned two and he is extremely active. I do want to be able to play with him more and I want to have more energy. My husband has decided to diet with me. He said that way we can become healthy together and as a family. So I just got to keep remembering that I'm doing this for our whole family.
  2. EmpressLizBunny....it's so good to have a surgery buddy!!!! I'm about to start re-reading my books too!!! I'm just afraid I'm not strong enough to make it through this. My husband says that I'm the strongest person he knows especially after he saw what I went through when I gave birth to our son. I'm just afraid of the unknown. I just want someone to be completely honest with me about everything that's going to happen. I feel like people hold out alot because they don't want to scare you. I'm the complete opposite....the more I know the better I am.
  3. Wow I have spent all day cleaning and organizing. My surgery is Wed and I'm so nervous!!! I guess it was just nervous energy but it did keep my mind off of it for a little bit. How do you shut your mind off??? lol!!!
  4. Wow!! You are doing amazing!! I hope to do as well as you!!!
  5. My doctor recommended two weeks. My surgery is on the 10th. I'm only taking off two weeks so I guess we will see. I hope it's long enough :-)
  6. I'm doing my pre-op testing now!!! Getting so nervous now!!! I can't believe I'm having surgery next Wed. Reality is hitting me.
  7. We are stationed at Barksdale.
  8. Thank you much! I have been sitting here worried to death. Nurse TAB have you had your surgery yet? If so, did u just keep taking your pill at the hospital?
  9. I noticed a few people posting that their doctor required them to go off the pill before their surgery. Does anyone know why? When I originally went to see my doctor about the surgery I was not on the pill but went on the pill after I saw him. I didn't think it was any big deal but now that I've seen a few post I'm getting worried. My surgery is on Oct. 10. I plan on calling the doctor Monday but I was wondering what everybody elses doctors told them. Was there anyone still on the pill when you had your surgery? I'm wondering if I should stop taking them now? I just hope he doesn't cancel my surgery.
  10. How soon after surgery can you add fruit to your protein drinks?
  11. My surgery date is Oct. 10th!!! I'm getting more and more nervous every day that it gets closer. I'm excited and nervous!! I'm just scared of the unknown I guess. I think the "dumping syndrome" part of surgery worries me a lot. I know at some point I will want something sweet to eat. Is anybody else worried about it? Or am I crazy lol :-)
