  13. Yes I had RNY surgery. I was in for 3 days had the upper GI the day i was released. Showed no leaks. It's rare to get a leak after going home but possible. I was only on liquids when released so I know I didn't over do. I had trouble getting anything down at first. Dr said a staple could have caused the leak. Don't really know why it happened. It healed on its own I was NPO while in the hospital & at home total of 6 weeks. NPO (nothing by mouth). It's ok to be worried. In the end I would do it again. I love the way I feel with the lbs that I have already shed. I can't wait to get to my goal. My prayers are with you. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

  15. From what my Dr said Tricare is good about approving this surgery. I was close to the cut off of the bmi and I didn't have any other problems. You should have no problem getting yours approved.
  16. Yes I had the upper Gi the morning before I was discharged. It was fine. Dr. Said sometimes its hard to see if it's tiny. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
  17. I have Tricare and they denied it the first time. Then Dr. Had to submit more info then they approved it. It took about 2-3 weeks to get ins to approve. Good luck???? Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
  18. I had a drain in when I left the hospital. When I started feeling sick I noticed that the chocolate Protein Drink I drank was going into the drain. My symptoms were high blood pressure, tired, low grade fever. If I didn't have that drain in we would not have known about the leak so soon. A cat scan then confirmed it.
