  1. http://www.fsisolutions.com/hanes/default.aspx They are marketing a new line of undies and they are giving away a sample pair. I ordered several, one to me, one to my mom and one to my MIL. They only go up to a large but I will fit that soon enough. There are 3 or 4 styles to choose from and they just ask for a name address and email. Takes 10-12 weeks for delivery but hey they are free who can complain about that? ~Mandy
  2. I am getting full much sooner. And staying full for 4 or 5 hours at a time. I love restriction!!! ~Mandy
  3. It makes great guacamole and salsa too.
  4. Are we going to post weights and measurments here each week or is there going to be a new thread for each monday? If we are using this thread can it be made into a sticky? ~Mandy
  5. Ok, I have 4pm ressies for 10, they can seat more if nessary. The cost is $8.99 a person for unlimited trips to the stir-fry bar. Drinks are extra. He explained it like this, if you make something and want to try something different, just go back to the bar and start over. You can make big or small portions and they will make it into soup or stir fry. Sounds like fun, can't wait to see everyone. ~Mandy
  6. It was delarla that found the Hamilton Beach one at Wal-mart, for $13. I also bought one and LOVE it. It has a lid with a spout, you blaned whatever you are going to drink/eat and pop on the drink lid and off you go. I make smoothies for breakfast all the time. I also use it to make "propel slushies" I freeze propel in an ice tray and then add the propel cubes and the remainder of the propel into my blender and then give them a quick zap and it makes a great no calorie slushie/icee drink. I love my little $13 blender. No magic Bullet needed. ~Mandy
  7. I am shooting for 4, but I am sure it will be 4:30 before everyone is there. I was told that parking is difficult around there. Make sure you bring change for the meter. ~Mandy
  8. Here I am....a friend came over and taught me how to "shrink" a picture in paint on my puter. I can now do it all by myself. ~Mandy
  9. I was not allowed mashed potatos, they have carbs and carbs turn into sugar. I was on a sugar free diet for 10 days, check with your doctor, most pre-op diets are to help shrink the liver and the does not include mashed potatos. ~Mandy
  10. I went for my first fill today and it was sooo easy. I was a little worried, but the doctor took my hand and said just let me know if you want me to stop and give you a moment. He was so understanding of my fears. He had me lay on the table and he cleaned the area with betadine. Then they put a surgical drape over the port and turned on the floro and had me do a crunch to locate the exact port, and then they stood me up on the machine. He numbed the area with lidocane (sp?) and waited a moment or so then stuck the needle into my port,(first try) I felt the pressure of the port being pushed but that was it. Then he filled my band and had me drink some contrast, then water and he removed some as it was too tight. Then more contrast and more water, perfect. A bandaid and a handshake and I was on my way. I got 2cc in a 4 cc band. I am on liquids for the rest of the day today and he said take it easy tomorrow with solids, try to stick to mushy foods. I have an appointment in Nov for my 3 month check-up and I feel great. ~Mandy
  11. Stress Management A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a glass of Water and asked, "How heavy is this glass of water? " Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g. The lecturer replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long you try to hold it. If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance. In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes. " He continued, "And that's the way it is with stress management. If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on. As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden. So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down. Don't carry it home. You can pick it up tomorrow. Whatever burdens you're carrying now, let them down for a moment if you can. Relax; pick them up later after you've rested." Life is short. Enjoy it! And then he shared some ways of dealing with the burdens of life: * Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue. * Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them. * Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it. * Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can be recalled by their maker. * If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague. * If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it. * It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others. * Never buy a car you can't push. * Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you won't have a leg to stand on. * Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late. * The second mouse gets the cheese. * When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane. * Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live. * You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person. * Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once. * We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box. * A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

  13. Count me in, I can't wait. I would have been there this year but I am off to Disney in 16 days and couldn't swing the $$$ for both trips. And I plan on having loads of clothes to bring for the exchange as I am going for my first fill today and I am workin' this band~Mandy
  14. I was not allowed the boost per my doctors orders so I did the Atkins shakes and powders. The best bet is talk to your doctor and see if there are any restrictions. Also buy stuff from The Vitamin Shoppe or other places that will allow you to return it if you don't like it. Trader Joe's also has a great return policy. Try to get single cans or single serve packets just to sample as some people have said certain brands were gross. ~Mandy
  15. Go to www.inamed.com and do doctor finder search, they will email you a list of all the Inamed approved doctors in your area. That can be very helpful ~Mandy
  16. I had mashed potatos with extra "Fake" butter on them on day5. I think you will be fine. Right now is about healing, not weight loss. So relax and savor the baked potato, I also ate wendy's chili prueed for several meals with cheese and sour cream on it. I have lost 32 pounds in just 7 weeks. ~Mandy

  21. When you click print, just up the number of copies that you want. Some stores are letting people get more than one shirt, or you can just hit a few registers. I washed the ones I got and they didn't shrink, and I used warm water. I am going back today as I can always use free shirts. ~Mandy
  22. I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my father when I was 12 and that was the hardest thing I have ever gone through. Several members have had some major losses lately and I gave them this advice, give your pain over to God, he will heal your heart. My thoughts are with your family. ~Mandy
  23. I got it because my HS Mascot was a bulldog and we live about 2 miles from the school. My 14 and 16 year old nieces are on the tennis team and I thought I would wear it to the next game. They also play in the band so I will wear it over a turtleneck for the football season. It looks like the marine corp bulldog. ~Mandy
  24. It is a new brand of men's clothing. The t-shirts are mostly unisex. They also make jeans and polo/dress shirts. The jeans are $45-$70 a pair. The shirts do run a bit small, but seem very well made. I got one with a bull dog in front of a british flag on it. And my 16 year old niece got one that says I Heart Martians (the heart is red velvety material like the ones in the 80's). They call it "modern Urban" clothing. ~Mandy
  25. My store wasnt listed either but they have it in stock. If you go in the men's dept, there will be a huge British flag sign with "Nick(it)!" printed on it. The lady at my store said most Penny's stores have the brand. ~Mandy
