  1. justt heard I got approved, on appeal. very happy. I can go in on a monday, from 24 Sept. now I am thinking about time tables. on 13 Oct I am going on a vacation with my family to florida. on 15 November I am at a very important trade show for me. for the trade show, I need to be able to sit at a dinner table with people and, at least look like I am eating. if I go in on 24 Sept. what will I be able to eat on 13 Oct (3 weeks later)? If I do the surgury on 22 Oct what will I be able to eat on 15 Nov? anybody have any guidance? also, is it realistic to plan on being at work a week later? I sit at a desk all day, nothing too strenous. thanks all
  2. I was denied today, and my insurance company basically said "look at the book, it will tell you why you are denied" what the "book" - the catalogue of coverage of the insurance company says is "insurance will not cover anyone who is not 100% over the ideal weight for his hieght". my "ideal wieght" is 148 pounds. I am 299. 200% of 148 is 296, which is less than 299. so, I called the insurance and asked them where they got their "ideal weight", and they basically said from their medical consultants. I sent an apeal letter saying that according to my calculations,, I met the criteria. this was today, too soon for an aswer. any ideas what I can do?
