  1. You made me cry I can see the happiness in your eyes in your after pics. This journey has been so amazing from like you said being the person looking at everyone's pics and not believing it would happen to you too to being where we all are now. I'm so glad I get to share it with all of you here and see your triumphs and progress. So wonderful. Please keep the updates coming everyone!! They make me sooo happy
  2. So happy for you. Mom will get used to it
  3. Tell her thank you soooo much!! What did they say when they saw you?

  5. OMG you're teensy!! Congrats!! Dr Ortiz is my hero.
  6. Davalrie I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I'm sure she's watching you and will be the extra push for you to reach your goals. You look amazing!! Congrats
  7. How are you doing post thigh lift? Was it inner thigh? I'm knowing I'm going to need that at the very least and wondering how recovery is. I've done no research yet.
  8. That's true. I would be happy in a size 14 jean (I have a huge butt that is genetic and no matter what I do isn't going anywhere), maybe 12 if I'm lucky. I've made it to a comfortable almost loose 16. And I've replaced all of my clothing and have mediums, larges, and XL clothes so I can pay close attention to fluctuations and keep my maintenance under control when I'm out of the losing phase. I'm at the point now where I've started to see some wrinkling in my face since it's less full with the weight loss. I'm happy but I'm hoping it doesn't get too bad. I'm also a bit concerned about losing too much and if the losing will stop at some point. Funny how things change- 1st I was worried about this not working now I'm scared it won't stop.
  9. How are my tall ladies doing? I'm in the low 190s now and feeling good. I'm interested to see when I go to the doctor if I gained my inch in height back
  10. Covatila I've never had a dumping episode so far, but I wasn't able to have some of the same protein shakes I tolerated before with no problem. I'm sorry- that's no bueno
  11. I didn't veer too far off of what I was told- your stomach has to heal. The day before I was supposed to, I was so nauseated even at the thought of another shake and so weak I broke down and had a few spoons of Malto Meal (which after a few weeks of not having food was hands down the most delicious thing I've ever eaten). It was enough to make me dance a jig in my kitchen Other than that I followed all the rules. If you've lost 12 lbs in 12 days that's amazing. You're saying "I've only lost this much"- when else would you lose that much in such a short time? I know it's hard not to just focus on the scale but you have to give your body a chance to adjust and heal. Not counting month one when I was healing, I recall losing approximately 3-4 lbs a week with some weeks not losing anything even gaining and then other weeks losing 6-7 lbs (mind you I'm speaking in weeks not daily weights). I also would not just look at lbs- take pictures. Put them side by side with one of those collage apps you can download and check out the difference. Every week you will see a change in yourself- it's almost like it happens over night. It's pretty amazing- enjoy it!!

  17. Hey group!! Hope everyone is well and I wanted to tell you that I finally hit onederland a few days ago and am officially 100lbs down from surgery day Oct 7th. Yay!!
  18. I've been busy with my dad but I had to tell you and the Oct group I finally hit onederland a few days ago!!! So happy Hope you all are well.
  19. I haven't been hungry since the 1st week of my official 2 week preop diet (I had to diet longer because my BMI was so high). Postop, my stomach has never growled or signaled physical hunger. And you here people mention head hunger and honestly I'm not sure exactly what that hunger is or what that means. I just get a feeling when I need to eat if I get busy and go too long without eating something. Im 8 months post, and nothing's changed in that aspect since I got my sleeve. I know when I'm starting to get full because I start to salivate more. I have way more oral secretions now and I have to spit it out because I don't want to swallow it and fill my tiny tummy with it. I hate it- not lady like There are so many changes postop that I'm sure your scenario will be different and you will figure it out as you get to know your sleeve.
  20. Thank you HooiserGirl. My dad isn't doing so well but we can only hope things turn around somehow.
  21. It was a quick 4 day cruise to Catalina Island and Mexico. I so needed the reboot with everything going on with my dad. I thoroughly enjoyed myself I plan on living life to the fullest from here on out Thank you Raven. She was heavy but the little one was feisty so I lucked out
  22. OMG.. I forgot about the lions!! The boy was too scared to hold the big one so I "manned up." I love this sleeve!!!
  23. The takeoff Flying high Zipline/suspension bridge excursion I had the time of my life and there's so much more to come!! :D
  24. So ladies I just came back from a cruise and my boy thought I lost my mind! I kayaked, parasailed, and went on a zip lining/ suspension bridge adventure (needless to say I am so sore right now!). He's wondering what's gotten into me (I ate alligator and tried escargot too). I will post pics.
