I would suggest you resend your email to Alma. I had sent her an email that she hadn't responded to so I emailed her again a couple days ago and she had overlooked it. Her office had flooded so I think she was distracted with that. Once I sent the follow up email she had responded fairly quickly.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. Freaked me out a little if they couldn't handle that at their own hospital. I still am in decision mode so thinking of all the "what if's" is hurting my brain.

Sorry to hear you are having some complications. Why did you not get treated at the hospital in TJ? I thought it was a full service hospital? Do you think your ins will cover this? Hoping for a speedy recovery!

They are gonna think you had surgery anyway! I haven't had the surgery yet but I think I will tell everyone after I have lost significant amount of weight. Its only a few days to take off if you use the weekend so they will just think I took a few days off. I also plan to start dieting before I go so people will see the changes before hand.

I would say the sooner you quit smoking the better. I saw this today on one of the local surgeons website in the frequently asked questions section: Does smoking tobacco increase my risk for anesthesia? YES, YES, YES!!!!!

Are you willing to share what doctor you chose and what date? I havnt chosen a doctor yet but I am leaning toward Dr. Garcia and leaning toward Oct 4th as the date. My son is out of school then and he doesn't have any soccer going on that weekend so its a lighter week for me. Just curious if you will be there then. Best wishes! Thanks!

Does anyone know how if Fernando Garcia has any hidden charges? Does he cover hernia repair or would that be an extra charge? I don't think I have one but it seems very common so curious. thanks!

Are the outlets the same as US or do you need a special converter like in Europe?

I know that when I started a new job I had already had a vacation planned with plane tickets etc and I was very up front about it asking if it would be an issue. They had no issue with it and it didn't even matter about not having enough vacation time accrued yet. Maybe you will be blessed with this same scenario. Wish you the best of luck!

Yes I understand that basic care should be from my PCP, however, this strictures kinda scared me b/c people had to have stints put in etc to fix this issue. This is not something a PCP would handle. It seemed like surgery. Just freaked out a little about it so if anyone had any experience that would be great. It must not be too common since I haven't seen a lot about it on this site.

A little worried about complications and needing assistance once I leave Mexico. I didn't know this one even existed but read some of the other boards and people who had this issue. I hadn't seen it come up on the Mexico board. Anyone have this complication and how did you handle it? Thanks!

Muscle weighs more than fat so if you are gaining more muscle that would account for loss in clothes size and not weight. Also, from what I hear, people get in stalls even at 3 weeks out. I haven't had the surgery yet so I can only tell you what I have read on these boards.

Wow, that's amazing. You look like a totally different person. I have not had the surgery yet but your before picture is about where I am now so I am really happy to see that you had such great results. Maybe I will too if I pull the trigger. What kind of exercise routine and eating plan are you doing?
