  1. Best of luck, I really have nothing but good words for OCC! I live in Edmonton hehe have fun!
  2. I am a week post op next week I get dark meat chicken!! Soooo excited!!
  3. I feel like I'll never take chewing and swallowing delicious eats for granted EVER AGAIN!
  4. Hey guys! I'm doing great! Sorry, this new stupid format for the forum never tells me when my threads update!! So frustrating. I'm sure I'm not getting in enough protein or liquids, but I'm more or less satisfied. Protein shakes are the devil and i rarely bother choking them down. Sadly caught a cold and have to get wisdom teeth out on top of everything! SOOOO excited for next week when I get to eat chicken! I could sing! Then I might be getting in too much protein in a day hahaha. Gonna cook super healthy, easily digested protein and chew chew chew. No more gas, my incisions look CRAZY awesome, they might not even scar except maybe my drain.
  5. I am doing better and better each day. First couple were tough, no gas pain but my sleeve was inflamed and was causing me to throw up. They gave me a shot of anti-inflamatories and things got much better. Wasn't able to move comfortably for a little while, but now rolling over, sitting/standing is a lot less troublesome! I can even sleep on my side now my incisions look REALLY good. If I have any scars at all, they're gonna be minor for sure!
  6. How are you doing a couple months post op?? I just had my surgery last week
  7. Hehehe I think you're confusin me with someone else I'm from Canada I used to weigh every day especially during my preop diet. But now I don't want to put that pressure on this early. Oddly enough, I'm not even really curious either >.<
  8. Awesome work! What is your goal if you don't mind me asking
  9. We were sleeved the same day I haven't weighed myself yet, probably won't for a month, maybe just weigh myself once a month so I don't obsess
  10. Thank you everyone for your concern!! It's been busy and hectic, yesterday was awful, started my journey back home at 6am and didn't get home until 1am the following day. Three flights, four airports and touching dirt in three different countries. It's been overwhelming, emotional and tough in spots, but overall I shouldn't complain... I feel awful for Karlily!
  11. Yeah, got my shots to the ass today, doing MUCH better. Got my drain removed too, keeping things down and flying home tomorrow
  12. And can't keep fluids or medication down. Going to OCC soon in hopes they can help. So far I'm the only one in my group with this problem and its been a bit of a struggle!
  13. Well, I have had zero had pain this far without even doing much walking... But I've been vomiting... It hurts and sucks a lot to do that.
  14. Gatorade or Powerade? I can get it down, but I keep puking... I hope that passes and is normal >.< first day post op so everything is still pretty fresh
  15. So sorry to hear you are sick!! Feel better soon! I'm officially sleeved as of yesterday
  16. Thank you everyone, yes, I am officially sleeved
  17. At my first layover, next stop... SAN DIEGO!
  18. Please repost photos, now it's showing a cute dog and a box of breakfast squares!
  19. I wish I could fast forward go Christmas hehehe but I guess we can't always have an easy way out nice to dream though haha
  20. Thank you both so much!! I fly out Monday morning
  21. Ugh I hear this, I told my coworkers I was having a similar surgery to what the sleeve is, just the reason for having it was different. Worked awesome, I can talk openly about side effects, preop etc without getting the seething "you took the easy way out" look. I couldn't deal with what you are experiencing from them. Question: what is you after surgery diet like? One or two weeks clear liquid? How many weeks full liquid before puréed or soft foods? An how many from there until you start to have zero restrictions (for safety sake). My surgery is on Tuesday, leaving Monday morning to get there and this part has had me curious for a month or two now and I figure, same doctor, probably same after diet.
  22. I'm on 11.12.13 too!! So excited *high fives* I hate preop haha
