  2. August 27th and I'm from Boston. Last week I gave up soda. This week is caffeine. I figure I should go through those two before the two week liquid diet so that I'm semi-sane during that period. I'm a rip roaring beeeatch today, which is day 2 of just 1/2 caffeine.

  7. Hi, I'm new here. I currently have sleep apnea, diabetes type 2. bmi = 38 and fibromyalgia. I called the Mass General Weight Center and they said that I need to get a referral from my pcp in order to get a consult so I have sent in that request. I guess it's not for insurance but just their policy. Meanwhile the woman said I can go to their orientation next Monday. I have been contemplating getting some sort of gastric surgery. Two years ago before I had my hysterectomy I went to a gastric doctor and he said that I am a prime candidate for the lap band. I went to him because I had tumors growing from my uterus to my colon. Anyhoo I know too many people who have had compications with the full gastric bypass and with the band so I'm thinking this one is for me. I'm excited, scared (reading about the only liquid diet for possibly 4 wks preop and 2 post scares the bejesus out of me O.o but so far comitted. Anyone else with fibromyalgia had this done? That is what scares me the most - that it will set off a flare.
