Anybody have some fun rewards in mind (other than great health, of course) for when they reach some milestones? I'm already planning my family vacation to Disneyland for 8 months post-surgery. And when I hit the 100 mark, I'll be getting a little bling-bling to mark the occassion. What do you have planned?
Getting off soda is my first goal. I'm stocking up on crystal light to help with the switch. Then I'm going to try cutting down on carbs. I start my liquid diet on the 18th and having done a strictly liquid diet for 9 months before, needless to say I am not excited about the shakes...Oh well, bottoms up.
What are you all doing to prepare yourselves, mentally or physically, for the surgery? Anybody starting to exercise or cut calories (for those not already on liquid diets) or are you "living it up" before the surgery?
Pinenut, how has it been going for you since you had it done on the 17th? How was the recovery time? I'm hoping to get back to my desk job after 5 days.
Any one live south of Seattle or north of Tacoma? Even though I'll be going to NWWL in Everett for my banding in July, I'd like to find a support group closer to home.
I am scheduled for banding on July 5 with Dr. Michaelson. I'm curious why folks chose NWWL over other hospitals/clinics. For me, I started my search there but I also learned about St. Francis from my sister, who will be using Dr. Oh. I liked the inclusive price for the fills.
