Maybe my nervousness about the surgery is making me feel more about this bump in the road than I normally would. My great grandmother, grandmother and mother all died from a stroke in their earlier 50's. I'm 37 yrs old, with high blood pressure. I'm 5'10" 289lbs. I have 3 kids. I know the results are a blessing and this is the best and only way I can break the cycle. But I still have mini panic attacks when I think about the specifics of the procedure itself.

I'm new here. But I need a little more support than usual. I've been seeing my primary since October '12. I called the office to set up my last appointment, my Dr told me she is not sure if her notes are adequate for my insurance to approve the surgery. After five months of visits at the eleventh hour I'm hit with this. I am terrified! and I checked my weight today. I gained 9lbs. (Emotional eater, obviously). I called the surgeon's coordinator, she said all documentation needs to be submitted to her in the next 7 days in order to get approval to have a 4/15/13 surgery date.
