  1. Thanks It may have been, I really just wanted her to know why Janese wasn't able to call her right away. If she had called Eduardo (the actual pt coordinator in TJ) she wouldn't have had so much trouble, but Janese is a Fantastic coordinator and I just felt bad for her after reading the post. People don't always hear the reasons things happen and in this case there was a legit reason and there Were other ways that she could have gone... Im not sure what Abraham told her about Janese or who he said was supposed to call her so I can not atest for that at all, but I felt it neccessary to let the people reading know that Janese, Abraham and the doctors are amazing and caring people.
  2. Lopez and Ortiz make hotel visits, mainly to take out the drain and give instructions, but Dr. Lopez actually stays at the hotel on the weeks he is in TJ so he is easy to get ahold of after hours in case of an emergency through your coordinators... *Eduardo or Janese*
  3. The doctor removes the drain after discharge at the hotel. This is how Dr. Lopez and Ortiz do it for EVERYONE. Dr. Lopez and Garcia where with Ready4achange prior to this year, now Garcia is with Ready4achange and Lopez is with Aligherme. Hope this helps.
  4. But see that is the point, Abraham was available for her and Eduardo as well who works directly with the doc's. Abraham told her it was normal, she chose not to listen. I am not berating her, I am simply letting her and EVERYONE else know the circumstances, the back ups were available, she sounds as if she is simply mad because Janese did not call her back quick enough, I simply told her why. I am allowed to share my experiances and my knowledge of what happened and back up the company if I so choose. If you can't handle that then why are you commenting? it is an open forum, I felt like she was throwing janese and the company under the bus and I have the right to speak up in their defense.
  5. Abraham was an AWESOME driver and resource person, I can not believe your negativity toward the company! my God! Abraham is right the drain site does leak, and you were told before you left the hospital that you had to change the dressing... Anyways, I'm sorry you are so dissappointed and having such a hard time, but really to throw them under the bus is disgusting and shame on you. BTW Janese was on a plane during the time frame you are talking about, so maybe find out more info before you shoot someone down so quickly, you are not able to take or return phone calls on planes... This company cares greatly about thier patients and I had a FANTASTIC experiance with them.
  6. So, today I got on an airplane and came to San Diego where I was picked up by Abraham with alighterme, and driven across the boarder to Tijuanna and settled into the Marriott. I will be first or second tomorrow, will be picked up at 6:45 am to go to the hospital. My surgeon is Dr. Lopez and Dr. Ortiz who work with MiDoctor Hospital. So far I am thrilled and of course nervous too! Abraham was super nice, a little bit of a scary driver, but we made it in one piece The Marriott is nice, the room is spacious. I just got back to the room from soaking in the hot tub for awhile, and man did that feel nice after 9 hours of travel time!!! Ready to hit the sack now, I will update as soon as I am able after my surgery!!!
  7. how do you feel, I am about to have my surgery (5 days), I am curious how you feel about food, are you hungry? Is it a constant worry on your mind? etc... nausea/vomiting any more?
  8. Yes I will be at the Marriott, I arrive on the 8th in the evening and leave on the 13th, maybe we will run into each other!
  9. Have a good time while you are there! and good luck with EVERYTHING!!!
  10. I've been on it for 6 days now... not too bad once you get past the first 3 days...
  11. I am also on Dr. Lopez's pre-op diet right now. My surgery is on the 9th, I have messed up twice, but got back on it... doing better now. If you just feel like you gotta have something, have some sugar free jello or popsicles, (they are only 10-15cal- 0 carb!) and it's like drinking water... I have also found that low sodium chicken broth is a good one too! They just want you to consum lots of protein and low carbs/cals/and fat...
  12. I am scheduled with Dr. Lopez and Ortiz on April 9th, 1 week to go!!!!
  13. who did your surgery and where? Glad to hear you are doing well!!! Can't wait to hear more about it.
  14. Ive heard of representatives/coordinators of different doc's in mexico making up user id's and promoting the particular surgeon. Apparently it is common, and a shame that it happens... but they do it for shady business... Maybe the OCC needs pt's right now??? lol, I don't know. I've been just weeding through pt experiances with certain doc's and tossing ones that don't look legit or I've noticed more than once. \
  15. send me your email addresses and I will send you invites to join our private/secret group!!
  16. Well I hope to see some of you there!! I will be at the marriott on the evening of the 8th, my surgery is on the 9th and I will be back at the marriott on the 11-12th, leave to come home on the 13th.
  17. just any family or internal medicine doc would be fine, just when you go to see them make sure they know you had the surgery so they can keep on top of the blood work etc... Mine said she wanted to see me 1month post-op for blood work. Good luck, you shouldn't have a problem.
  18. you can't find it, set to secret... I gotta invite you!
  19. same goes to the rest of you guys, if you want to join in on a completely private FB group for Mexi sleevers, just send me your email and I will get your invited!!! Only members of the group (invited by me the administrator) can see the group and posts.
  20. I will be with my sister, and I will only be able to have clear liquids but sure that sounds great! dont' have a clue where tho... Also I have a private FB group for mexico sleevers if you want to join, give me your email!!!
  21. When will you be at the Marriot? I think we might just miss each other! my surgery is the 9th, and I will be back at the Marriot the 11th...
  22. at dawndenise, I will be leaving the hospital the day of your surgery, more then likely we will not meet, but you never know! It is getting so close!
