Hello all. I am happy to say everything went well yesterday. Got to mi doctor and everyone was really nice. there was no rooms avalible so me And fellow message boarder Stephanie And ur significate other all chatted for a while. I got to my room And it was pretty quick from there. I was sleeved woke up every much in pain. For me it wasnt gas as nuch as dry heaving. I would walk for a few Minutes then have to lay down. Its quiet right now. I sleep pretty well And woke up feeling ok this morning.

I am up early. I live in SD and have decied to drive to the border park my car, walk into TJ and catch a cab to MI doctor hospital. Having surgery with Dr. Garcia. My best friend and my Mom were sleeved 2 years ago with Dr. Vamboonen. I was there for both. I chose Dr. Garcia because of all your comments and my experience as a guest for the other sleeves I went to on TJ. I will keep everyone posted. Right now im starving! Gonna get my babies off to school then I am on the road! Food doesnt taste as good as it feels to be thin and I am ready to be on the loser bench with all of you.

I totally understand. My husband is going but also not happy about the money. I get sleeved on Friday. I dont care what he says or anyone else. Till anyone has walked in my shoes rode the weight roller coaster or ever been disappointed about weight doesnt understand. I say support me or dont I am still going! Cant wait for a better me!

Take to the coordinator today Rosie. She said only 3 surgeries on Friday the 8th. Yay. Hoping for no long waiting!!

Update.....zinc every 3 hours, vitamin C immune boost 2 times a day and airbourn 3 times a day. I have a little sniffe but I think by Tuesday I will be great! Zinc helped so much taste nasty makes my tummy hurt a little but did the trick!!!! Ill keep taking zinc till I feel 100% better!!!! Road to surgery didnt think would be so eventful

They are just Vitamins. Should be fine. Its all over the counter.

I have a cold surgery same day as you and im taking airborn, energency vitimin C, and zinc cold remedy that is suppose to shorten the lengh of a cold

I woke up with cold symptoms as well. Starting taking some vitamins. Gonna take some every 3 hours hope it works. Im having surgery the same day

Started my pre op diet today. So far so good.......its only been 3 hours hahaha

I live in San Diego so no plane for me! Im leaving in my car zoom zoom!

I understand ladies. Next Friday im doing it with or without support. I want this for me its paid for and no one can top me now!!!! I would love my husbands support but I dont need it.

Wow thank you for sharing. I uave low bmi 3 Kids all girls 2 are very thin my oldest is a tad overweight. I know she wants to lose with me. my husband does not support me at all also saying im lazy And vain because im not ”that Big” what ever that means to him. He is going with me but says its selfish to take thay kind of money away from the family for WLS. I struggle but im stil doing it. Schedualed for next friday. ill support you if no ome else will

My surgery is March 8th. Saturday is the first day of my pre op diet. Alma told me to start Saturday cause she didnt want me losing too much weight before surgery (low bmi). Hmmmmmmmmm what should I eat tomorrow! What will you miss about food? Last of my favorite in N out burger maybe? Time to start a new life!

Hello. If you do research you will see that more people have problems with the WLS in the states then in Mexico. Mexico has been doing this for years. I trust them more then an american doctor. Just because its another country doesnt mean the quality of care is not the same or better. Do research And then more research And everything I learned is taking me across the border on March 8th!
