  1. Hi Kwalla girl! Hope all is well! Im not so sick of cottage cheese yet. I have been on this pre op for 4 days now. I was saying today that so far its not super bad. Ask me again in a few days Crafty lady..wow Optifast drink ur whole pre op..I better not be doing any complaining! Good for you though!
  2. At this point I dont think I have any other options to be honest with you. This is the last resort. Just like they say "I have tried everything". I had to make a major change..I think this is pretty major eh?
  3. ok my last try for the day..ready set go...
  4. Hmm no idea. I go to the Tickerfactoy web site. Make the chart thing. Then they said to cut and paste the to where I want it, and what sort of program (hotmail). I did that and that is what came up. Hmmmm computers can be frustating!
  5. ummmm.....the ticker tape didnt show up did it?
  6. Hmm, just few little things here and there that are kinda adding up. But I am thinking postive and looking forward to the surgery day. On the side...I am trying to get one of those TickerFactory things. I found the site and made one. How do I put it on here?
  7. Are you getting ur surgery done at TLBC? I am getting some "gut" feelings that make me a bit nervous.
  8. I did call today. I am just waiting to hear back. I was told that it was better to email as they repond quicker to that, so thats what I did.
  9. See I am scared to death if I have one cheat I wont be able to have the surgery. Are you scared of that?
  10. Hey there! I was just sharing withone else on another thread that I am getting bit nervous. I am only on day 4 of my pre op. Needless to say I have lots of questions/concenrs etc. I emailed Jill tiwce and just did not hear back. I emailed Kathy about something and also didnt hear back (I only emailed her Friday though) So it makes me wonder how rough things might be after the surgery. Not really a great first impression to me, especially being someone sooo new to all this. I fully understand I am not the only patient and need to be patient but I would just think I would get a call back after few days of my email.
  11. Hi Marcar35! Actually I am such a worry person. I have emailed the nutrution person Jill twice and have not heard back. I emailed Kathy, did not hear back. So that makes me worried about the sort of service I will get after the surgery. A bit discourging I have to say. So I have seen you lost 12 with the pre op! Thats AWESOME!! I am on day 4 day. Its really not the end of the world for me. Usually when I start a diet or whatever I get major withdraws (headache, dizzy, moody) so far really nothing. Some periods where I am so hungry I could puke. Overall good though. Personally did you find it got easier as the days went? I find I am just staring at my date-June 7/07 thinking wow can I do this for another week and half. However knowing theres no other options keeps me postive.
  12. Thanks CanadaSunshine! Ya I think if I had to think about it for along time I would really be second guessing if I should do it. Now I am already in day 2 of the pre op diet. Only 13 days to go! I have to admit its not the end of the world eating yogurt and cottage cheese. Ask me in a few days and I may feel different lol!
  13. Thanks Kwalla girl! So Jill never said anything to you about low carb vanilla Protein shakes. Im so parinoid I will do something that will cause an issue at surgery time. This morning I was wating Siloette yogurt. I was looking at it and there is big peices of fruit in it. I was like "uhhh is this okay??". Then got nervous that maybe I shouldnt be eating it.
  14. Anyone having their surgery June 7/07? It would be great to share the ups and downs as we would be at the same spot at the same time.
  15. Hi Ginger I like you have just made the jump. I was in the TLBC office this week. Before I even told her I was intereted she pulled out her book to schedule me. I cracked and booked for 2 weeks. Wow no time to really think about it. Actually I am really glad I booked. I am in day 1 of the pre op diet....not fun...I hope it will get a bit easier. I just had dinner like 30 min ago and Im soo hungry again. It will get better. You have a few months to prepare urself!
  16. Ohhh yes when they say pre op is not fun I see why. Today is day one for me. Just enjoyed dinner which consisted of cottage cheese and a chicken breast. I use the word "enjoy" loosly. Please please please tell me these 2 weeks will get easier! Ok question....im going to TLBC so things seem a bit different there. I wanted to confirm....I can drink Protein vanilla low carb shakes on the pre op? I would hate to go do it and not really be able to.
  17. Hi Craftylady! I have a question for you. I see something about people drinking Protein shakes. When would people be drinking these? I know for my pre op I only get milk, yogurt, cottage cheese and Jello.
  18. Well today had the consultation....then guess what happened??? I booked the surgery for 2 weeks!!! Ahhh ok freaking!!! Actually I started talking to 2 girls in the waiting room and they were kinda giving me their experience. One lady said it was the best thing she ever did. I keep thinking about that statement in my head. I just came back from the grocery to stock up on my pre op diet..yum yum!
  19. Well another has joined the pre-op journey! I wanted to give a big thanks for all who are sharing their journeys..the ups and the downs. I have been reading everything I can find from this site. I find us Canadians are a pretty supportive group Well my consultation is this Wednesday. Excited and scared all rolled into one. And the journey begins..goooo...
  20. Ohh ok...I was still reading just now and I was not really seeing anything more about that. I am pretty lucky to only live like 45-50 min away.
  21. Ok 2 questions already...that was like in 2 minutes wow! Ok number one....how do I get that chart thing at the bottom of my time so I can track the progess? The other is about the "fills"....the plan for me to to have Dr. Yau. I am seeing additonal costs for fills? Is that really the case after the surgery you have to pay more??
  22. Hey everyone! Ok superbrand new to this. I am trying to gather all information I can. Soooo much to research and think about. My consulation is this Wednesday. I soo nervous for even that!
