  2. Ok...thanks. Ill have to see what i got. I havent been to doc too much in last 5yrs. Except obgyn had baby in 2009..then just reg doc after that. And weight went up in down alot the last 3yrs from dieting. But never got below 200lbs.
  3. Dont give up, keep on them about looking! Im sure youll get your surgery..crossing fingers for ya!!!
  4. No prob. I only know that from watching gastric sleeve before and after videos on youtube! Lol
  5. Thanks! I did call before i even contacted surgeon, just to make sure it was possibler at all! They just said they cover 80% with a bmi of 35 with comorbidities or bmi of 40, i asked if there was any "extras" like the six mo diet some people have to do or anything like that. She also said no on that. I think it all depends on who you talk to you, i think things will change once my request is sent after all this evaluation stuff. Thats what worries me. It sounds too good to be true, its all too easy from talking to surgeons office and insurance. But then i read on here some people getting denied and the stress they are going through!! Ugh
  6. Hi all, ive been on here a few days reading posts and posting some myself! I just switched to uhc and.sent all my paper work back to surgeons office. Im waiting for a seminar...like i said, very begining stages! I have not always been heavy, the weight came on after my third child. I was a size 9 after my second child but slipped into depression after my third and just gained! My highest weight was 250lbs! I have tried every diet out there, and was successful untill i started living life again lol. I would lose 50lbs and gain it back then diet again and gain again. Now im 35 yrs old and it is getting harder to lose! I lose about 25lbs and cant seem to lose any more and dont even drop a pant size...thats frustrating!! So im turning to the sleeve. Im 5'6, 245lbs bmi of 40. Cant wait to get this going!!
  7. Im in very begining stages of wls...still waiting for seminar..lol. But its nice to know the pain and discomfort is not much diff from gallbladder surgery, i had mine removed years ago and it was nothing!!
  8. I can not figure out how to post a profile pic...must not be able to from phone. Idk
  9. I am in the very begining stages of wls but i am also having it done in st.louis. Gonna go with Dr. Eagon, my sons friend got the lap band done by him. How long have you been trying for this?
  10. I hear ya! Cangrats on kicking cancer in the butt!! Other members in the family on my parents side ( including my parents) have high blood pressure, thyroid issues, fibromyalgia(spell check) lol. I want to avoid these issues now! Good luck with all your remaining "to do's" !! Keep me posted and as you get closer any ideas for do's and dont's will be much appreciated!! Lol
  11. Lol...i just talked to Gail today..i will call back. I called my insurance too and they cover 80% and she said no preop diet that she knows of. All the ladies ive talked to at Was. Univ. Are very nice! So far it seems too easy to be true..knock on wood lol. I hear alot of people saying how they have to do a 6mo supervised diet plan and i am hoping things just go smoothly like they are! Have you seen before and after pics and videos on youtube? Ive been following a few videos for tips and info and inspiration!
  12. so.hardy38, what info can you give me about the whole surgery thing..lol trying to find out as much as posible!!
  13. Oh ok...i have united health care. And from talking to them and surgeons office, doesnt look like i will have to do any type of diet before surgery either. Some people are having to do a 6mo diet plan before hand..ugh
