  1. Omg 41. Im 40 and been feeling like that at times. Gosh i somtimes feel it come upon me. I have to make an effort not to snap at my family. I love them so.
  2. Thanks for sharing. Thanks for the postive post and the posts with bad experiences. I did ask for the good, bad and ugly. I dont even know what to say to someone that has been through such a difficult journey. I'm sorry. I hope your health continues to improve as the days go by.
  3. I now this sounds teribble but i'd gain another ten pounds and you'd qualify. That's crazy that they do that.
  4. Hey, i just saw on tv some more news about all the drug war in mexico. How was mexicali? I am having surgery with dr. Acevas on dec 13th. Im a bit freaked out now.
  5. Ok, I still feel a bit nervous but I'm better. I changed surgeons too. He isn't nickel and dime'in me. I'm also staying an extra night at the hospital. I have been hearing nothing but good about him too. Dec 13th is around the corner. Can't wait for the thin me to come back out again.
  6. I would think so, right? Im paying $8750 and getting 3 nights. I'm having it done in Mexico. If there is any complications, it's not extra cost. Here in the U.S. they nickel and dime you. By the time you know it, it's a good $2000 added to your bill. I guess it's just personal choice. Good luck. I'm here in Texas too.
  7. I feel like I'm on a roller coaster. First, i'm excited about this and cant wait, now i think, maybe i shouldn't do this. Why cant i just eat right? What the heck is wrong with me? Who said i cant do it on my own? I was beginning to really feel good phsically when i became a vegan. I had so much energy. Guys, i just dont know anymore. Maybe i should put this off until the summer. I also got discouraged bc now all these extra fees are coming up. I dont have insurance so its all out of pocket. My doc said that 80percent of his patients need a hernia fixed. What? How much is that added on? I guess i just needed to vent. Maybe tomorrow ill be all pumped up abt this again.
  8. I believe you do loose some boob. If you were a 40dd and now your a 34dd, you lost some boob size. Everytime your band gets bigger or smaller, your cup gets bigger or larger with it. A 48A bra would have a way larger cup then a 38A bra. Yeah, i admit, i dont want to loose what little i have, but I'd rather wear a padded bra instead a size 18 skirt. Thats just me.
  9. Im self pay. I think our docs dont require a liquid diet bc our bmi's are low. I'm guessing? I have a 34bmi. I have my preop on dec 4th. I'm excited and nervous and mostly anxious. I guess i wanna hurry and find out if that everything is gonna be okay.
  10. I am so excited. I cant wait either. I am also so addicted to this site. Dec 13th seems so far away. I guess im just ready to get this journey started.
  11. With self pay you can get surgery at your bmi. I'm a 34bmi. Really 33.9. I am having my surgery on dec. 13. You have to call around and get cost and ask them about any other fees you should anticipate. Of course there is mexico. I am more than sure with your bmi, they will. If your insurance, im not sure. I think this depends on your policy bc i have read some post that have gotten approved with a low bmi.
  12. Im scheduled for dec 13th and i am very worried about that too. Hopefully after we had our surgeries we will look back and read these post and say, i was worried for nothing and im so glad i did it.
  13. I'm having surgery Dec. 13Th. I'm getting nervous and scared. Gosh, I sure hope i dont regret this. I went to the outlet today and kinda got excited that i will one day be a size 10. I dont want to get too thin though.
  14. I read post of a few regrets and then very positive results. Are the regretful ones with lower bmi's? Are the ones that say "it was so worth it" with a lot to loose? I'd figure the hard times are worth it so much more when you have more to loose than those of us that have less to loose?
  15. I started reading the thread "complications" and started to get fearful. Wow, the last thing i want is to get sick. I realize at first i probably will be during recovery. I know we are all different but how was your revovery? Tell me the good, bad and ugly.
  16. I am scheduled for surgery on Dec. 13, 2012. I was wondering if I could get some input from past sleevers that have had the VSG with a bmi under 35. I wonder if this is such a drastic measure just to loose about 60lbs. I don't have any diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. Im just tired of being overweight. Of course, I don't want to get too thin either. I like having my curves. I am also getting pretty nervous about this surgery. I ask myself, should I really do this? I also can't find any sleevers past 5 yrs postop. How will I be at 70yrs old. (im 40 right now).
