  1. I'm having surgery on the 3rd. Will leave early sat morning for a same day. I'll be at Mi Doctor and then the Marriott. Its getting real on the pre op diet.
  2. Where will you guys be? I'll be at Mi Doctor in Tijuana, and then the Marriott.
  3. Yeah, I'm not enjoying this too much. I refuse to mess it up, but still don't like it. It definitely helps to stay busy and drink lots of water. My surgery is Aug 3. Sometimes it seems like its right around the corner and sometimes (like today when I'm frustrated with the diet) it seems like forever. I know it will go quickly overall, but its dragging butt today.
  4. Absolutely! I bet we can find each other at the hotel. Is someone coming with you?
  5. Hey! I will be there for surgery on Saturday the 3rd. Dr. Ortiz is my doctor and I'll be at the Marriott also. I'm taking Vitamin B for the lack of energy and the headaches go away by day 4. My pre-op is the same as yours. And I detest salad. Blech.
  6. Keep us posted. I know it will go well for ya!
  7. I am! I just thought I was being hyper sensitive. I am thinking its probably a good thing for me. I
  8. OK. I'm really nervous about the return flight home. I'm going alone, and am an ultimate planner. I have never had a laproscopic surgery and have no idea how I'll feel four days after its done. I only have one flight, nonstop from San Diego to Dallas. How far did you guys have to travel? How did you feel? I'm honestly more concerned about the getting home part than the surgery itself. Do you have a lot of pain being jostled on the plane?
  9. Where will you be Aug 4? I will be the 3rd with Dr. Jesus Ortiz at MiDoctor, then to the Marriott.
  10. I will be in Mexico. It would be nice to meet someone from here who will be in Mexico the same day.
  11. Where will you be? Mines the 3rd. :-)
  12. I'm August 3. Would love to find a sleeve buddy. I'll be at Midoctor with Dr. Elias Ortiz.
  13. Thank you! I've travelled internationally, but never to Mexico.
  14. To those who have been to Midoctor hospital...are the electrical plugs normal? I haven't seen anything about needing an international adapter, but thought I'd ask.
  15. I was recently scheduled for Aug 3 with Dr. Elias Ortiz for my surgery. I was supposed to go in March and when the timing fell through, didn't spend as much time on the boards. When I was on here a lot before, I used to see suggestions of things to bring to the hospital. I don't know if I just am not looking in the right spots, or what. Can you guys give me some suggestions? I would greatly appreciate it!
  16. I'm going to Mexico on August 3.
  17. I may be nuts, but isn't there a doctor in Mexico that finances directly? I seem to remember reading about one, but don't remember how far back I read it.
