  1. I just got home from surgery. Can only take two sips at a time. The third causes great tightness and pain. Still shocked that I had that courage to get this sleeve. Went shockingly well but feels like I've been punched.
  2. The nurses taught me how to brace my belly with a firm pillow as you turn and get up. Really helps.
  3. My surgery went incredibly well. Little pain in the beginning. After 4 hours down to no pain. Things are so much better than I expected. Good luck????????????
  4. Hi. In hospital room now. In ZERO PAIN. Un flippin' believable. Woke up feeling like I was punched in the gut but that's all. Nurses could not be nicer. Hospital ward in Mountain View CA is newer and beautiful. Nurses are letting me nap a little which is great bc I was too anxious to sleep for several nights. All of your advice was spot on!! Thanks!!! Can't believe I'm on the other side!!!
  5. Only your dr can answer that question Lynn. Haven't slept for 3 days bc of excitement and fear. Very peaceful though. A bit nauseous and weak from clear liquid diet. Have had migraine since last night. Good luck. ????????????????
  6. Thanks for the good wishes. My best to all my fellow 10/27 sleevers. ????????????????
  7. Good luck tomorrow.????????????
  8. Drs orders are strict. I originally thought I could have clear protein drinks but alas no. Not a fun surprise. I'm going to buy some sf Popsicles and jello. I've also heard from the head nurse that meat tenderizer works well with food gets stuck after. And posts here say that GasX helps after also. I'm stocking up on those too. I've got quite the stockpile of supplies for Wednesday when I come home.
  9. Started preop clear liquid diet today. Feeling very weak and missing my protein shakes. ???????? BTW sleeve surgery 10/27.
  10. Hi there. Thanks for the good wishes to all of us on 10/27. Started clear liquids for the final 48 hour countdown. I'm really missing my protein shakes and feeling weak. Just trying not to exert myself. I'm peaceful about the surgery though thanks to all of you. ????????
  11. Hi Kimmy2477. My date is the 27th also. I'm getting the sleeve. Really anxious and excited. Can't sleep tonight. Drs first patient backed out so my surgery was moved from 9:30am to 7:30am. I'll have to check in at 5:30am. Probably doesn't matter bc I won't be able to sleep anyway.
  12. How are you doing on your liquid diet? Getting excited for Tuesday? I'm 50% scared and 50% excited.
  13. Thanks. You are helping with many of my fears. I'm getting more peaceful about 10/27.

  20. That's my goal too. Between 140-150. Haven't been there since high school.
  21. Me too. I'm on October 27. My mood is all over the place. And I'm already getting sick of liquid diet.
