This much water??
Absolutely yes, it will be preferred for the rest of our lives to consume 64 oz Water MINIMUM. We simply do not get the amount of water from our foods as we once did. Our stomach are but 15-20% the size it used to be... wow!! I usually get 100+ oz of water per day (Usually comes out to 128 oz) - however this is because eating relatively low carbs I need to keep flushing those fat calories out of my system... super important to remember this. That is what keeps me going with tons of water. I'll probably drop it down to about 80 oz once I hit goal... but it will be a trial thing. If I feel like it's not enough I'll bump it back up. Keep in mind right out of surgery and for the first say, 4 months it will feel like a huge chore to get even 64 oz in. It gets a lot easier in time. I get my water in (which probably seems like a huge amount to you right now!!) quite easily. It gets better, promise!!

A stall after only 2 weeks????
mnb, ohhh girl... you really really cannot stress about this. You are going through what about 99% of us go through (and I did too!!) which is a minor stall at around 3 weeks out. This stall usually lasts about 2-3 weeks and from there the weight loss resumes. Your body is taking a step back and analyzing WTH you just did to it. Do not worry!! Just keep doing what you're doing and don't push yourself too much right now. Right now you are still healing and getting into the Sleever Lifestyle. HTH

The incredible edible egg
The wonderful egg was my very first solid food of choice. It went down wonderfully and the solid Protein immediately made me feel fantastic. I have been addicted ever since. I still eat eggs for Breakfast nearly 3-4 days per week, with some egg beaters mixed in to cut down the cholesterol. Anywhow, I've loved eggs from day one of mushy solids. Not everyone hates eggs after surgery!!

?CALORIES? Will they be the death of me?
Luv4me, to be perfectly honest with you, you are losing at a really good pace. In my opinion if it isn't broke, don't try to fix it. Just keep doing what you're doing... and if at some point it stops working, then make some changes. All the best!!

regular, low fat, fat free???
I usually stick with reduced fat (mostly 2%). Being I eat semi-low carb (about 50g max per day) eating higher fat content is really important. I'm not sure many realize this... but our bodies are burning fat for fuel. Some will also do full fat, which is fine too. I just do reduced though because even with this barely less than half of my daily calories are still from fat. Also, reduced fat still tastes WAY BETTER than fat free. I'd rather not even eat the product if it's fat free, because that usually means the carb content is higher than need be for flavor and the flavor is usually yucky to me. Good luck! You have to find what works best for you.

My story... thus far a 19 month journey that's just beginning!
Hi Sarah, welcome to VST There is nothing at all wrong with recognizing we need help. I did the same thing, as I started at 330+ Lbs and tried to lose it on my own at first. I waited 2 years of bouncing between 280 to 300 Lbs before I actually considered having surgery to get me to where I needed to be. I started with the Lap Band. However that didn't work out for me as I'd hoped so I ended up revising to the VSG. Best. Decision. Ever. I'm sure it will be for you too!! Hang in there, if it one thing I know helped with what I know today is that what the 6 month supervised diet does is it really prepares you for this. You will learn a lot as far as nutrition and calorie burning. All this is incredibly essential in creating and sculpting a healthy and fit body for the rest of our lives. All the best, and I look forward to watching your journey!!

Bras
I haven't had a consult yet but I'm thinking I can get away with no lift - or a very minor one. I'm going to get back up to a full D minimum - maybe DD if I like how it looks when I try on the cutlets. Full D is my original size and they never gave me back pain nor did they keep me from being able to do my runs. I'm not worried about any of that, I just want my normal size back and if not then a little bit bigger! Not only that I do plan to have some lipo done on my inner knee areas. I think that will relieve some of the flab I have going on there and give me better ease of movement on my legs and much better shape. Yayyy I can't wait!!!

1 week, 17 pounds!!! OMG
WOWWW!!!! That's amazing!! Great job so far!

Bras
I found these absolutely amazing bras from Kohl's. It's the Daisy Fuentes brand and they pump me up to look like my original size. Literally in the last 10 Lbs I've lost I've gone from an average D to what seems to be a small C now. They are still shrinking like mad even now!! Uggh I hate it... however, I LOVE THESE BRAS!! They make me look like a D or full D again. Give them a try on there, and put your shirt over it. Best. Bras. Ever. These will just have to do until I get my augmentation done in September.

When do you stop worrying and start living?
It was around month #4 which I started to feel "comfy" with my new lifestyle and I was able to not constantly think about my sleeve. I rarely think about it anymore, unless I'm reminded by someone commenting on me being "skinny" or whatever. Those are good reminders!! In time you won't need to chew chew chew, or take tiny bites, or take itty bitty sips... I drink and eat pretty normally now. I'm almost 10 months out and I've been like this since about 6 months out. Hang in there! I remember feeling exactly like you're feeling right now, like it will be for the rest of my life. However, it hasn't been. So, just know in time you will be responding to others posts just like this one and assuring them they have all good things to come.

So Anxious Today...
NomersCat, well just thank goodness you made a good choice before going through a revision later! Hang in there and come here to vent anytime, trust me that's what this is all about. I hope you get your answers very soon!

Size
I totally agree!! If they standardize clothing (which I would LOVE) I hope they use the sizes in which I am smallest in.

ZUMBA fans?
Haha that is funny! Oh my do I hate being constipated... more than anything I think. Anyway, does anyone know of any great Zumba DVD's to share? I'd like to buy one and don't want to waste my money, thanks!

Great Workout
Hi CammyD, do you do this at the gym? I'm just wondering because if you do it off a DVD I'd like to try it out. I"m always looking for new fun things to get my body moving! Thanks!

excited to find this group
Hi welcome xercisegirl! I have been one to workout pretty much my entire life. Even when I was well over 300 Lbs, so I knew it wasn't my "laziness" that was the culprit in my super obesity. It was my eating. At first after surgery for me I really didn't have the energy or stamina to do very much. In fact not until about 4 months out did I ever do more than 30 minutes. But now at going on 10 Months out I can do WAY MORE than I have in over 20 years!! I'm running and still having energy to do so much more. I think having this surgery helped me in so many ways, and the best one being helping me to get these pounds off me *finally*. HTH

Peanutbutter balls

Sizzilng September Sleevers Monday Check In
Cherice, that sounds wonderful! I see you wrote this a few months ago. How are you doing now? Congrats on reaching your goal!!! I have to agree with you. For me it is also more than just a number on the scale, but rather how I feel and look. This is just as OK, IMO!! I'm soooo happy for you!!! I am the same way, however I guess I am getting more used to this idea on how the scale works the closer I get to goal. I do get frustrated working so hard to not see a loss, however when it does it's usually a good amount. I'm averaging 1-2 Lbs per week right now so I guess that's not too bad. I guess I haven't written in here in quite some time. I'm doing really good. I don't really have a goal "weight" set in stone. Rather it's more a guesstimate on what I think I'll weigh when I get to my goal size, which is a size 4 in a particular pair of pants. Once I fit in them comfortably, I will be done. Right now I am but one size above and they are a bit tight at this time. That said, I guess I am VERY CLOSE TO GOAL!!! Yayyy!!! How is everyone else doing? I hope more will check in!
