After you had surgery, how long was it before your doctor wanted you to come back for a follow-up visit? Then, when did you have your first fill? (I know the fill date will vary for everyone) THANKS.

Hello All, I can honestly say that this forum helped me to make my decision to have Lap Band surgery in November. When I make a decision, it is always after A LOT of research. I appreciate everyone's honesty and support of others on this site. I just turned 45 and I am a happily married mother of two. I am also a 2nd grade teacher in Oregon. With the school year about to start, I have such a positive attitude. I have come to realize that it is because I have committed to surgery and I have HOPE for the first time in years. I am looking forward to this journey and sharing it with others

dawalsh, I checked with two local doctors to see if they do fills for patients who had surgery in Mexico. I checked BEFORE scheduling my surgery. Both do fills.

I can't believe how many people are certain that I will be kidnapped or killed in Mexico... Can you please address the process of transportation to and from the airport as well as your stay at the Marriott. Anything you can comment on about your over all safety in general would be appreciated.

Have you had Lap Band surgery in Mexico? I can't afford the self pay price in Oregon. Is it worth the travel and risk? Any input would be appreciated.
