  1. I'm curious how many days of recovery you had. I'm a school teacher and my days are very limited.
  2. Sorry I meant the I band, plication.
  3. I think I've started to think that the band is the way to go. I just am curious because it is such a new procedure, how many of you had it and what kind of complications you may have encountered. Also, it is reversible, correct?
  4. Bos123 - so do you think the iband is better for you than the sleeve? How long have the iband?
  5. I am considering WLS and really need some straight answers from those of you that have experienced the band. I have read sooo much on both surgeries and have looked at the good , the bad, and the ugly. The sleeve has me scared because if in the next 10-20 yrs something happens to me like getting sick or cancer, I will not have a stomach to withstand treatments since it is not reversible. However I have also read that so many with the band has reverted to the sleeve because of no success. I know that both are considered a TOOL for weightloss and like all programs, if you don't work the program correctly, it won't work. So my question is to you -- do any of you regret getting the lapband and if so, why?

  7. Have you had hair loss with the surgery? If so, how much hair did you actually lose?
  8. Thank you so much for your comments. I guess I needed to hear that it is ok and that my mindset on food will change.
  9. My entire life has been surrounded by food. All holidays are spent around the dinner table. All celebrations are done at a restaurant. I'm worried that my family won't get it. That I end up as another failure. That I will have leaking between staples. Have any of you felt this way? If so, how did you get over these feelings?
