  1. I have a 6.5 and a 1 year old. I've only spent a handful of nights away from the 6 year old and none from the 1 year old. Pretty sure ill have a family member watch them until its bed time and then send their dad to do bed time routine just so I will have peace of mind about them sleeping comfortably. When i get out of the hospital i will have mom and mother in law come over to do daily routines with them.
  2. My gastric sleeve procedure is covered 100% and met my deductible so the insurance company told me I would have no out of pocket expenses. The doctors office how ever has charged me $50 to meet with a primary care doctor. $150 to see a behavioralist and soon $250 to see a nutritionist. I asked if these were billable to my insurance was simply told "No." And no further information was offered... Anyone else have these kind of 'out of pocket' expenses??
  3. Passed my psych evaluation.. Meet with the surgeon next week!! Yay I'm so excited!!!!!
  4. Love him. If it weren't for him and Janice that movie wouldn't have been worth watching
  5. I can't agree more!!! Although the hospital here... Nurses coming to check vitals in the middle of the night are SO loud annnnd hospital beds suck!!
  6. You just knew it would come in handy some day!
  7. That's why I haven't fully committed to one. The dress I know for sure that I WANT, I can't find though. :'(
  8. Ok. I'm game too. With a "new" dress. I've been browsing for a "motivation" outfit anyways, lol now I have a reason to get one!!
  9. I LOVED my senior prom dress from 2005. But it got ruined in a move. I so wish I could do this challenge with you. But I'm currently challenging myself to fit in and buy the wedding dress of my dreams
  10. Ok. That's good to know. I just found out that my babysitter has fallen through and I can't find anyone else to watch my 1 year old. Does anyone think it would be a horrible impression to drive my 1 year old into the appointment with me in his stroller? He's usually well behaved and I bring tons if things for him to play with when he has to accompany me to regular appointments. I just don't want the dr to think I'm crazy for bringing a baby. I literally have no one this short of notice
  11. I meet with a Behavioralist on Wednesday.. Kinda getting anxious/nervous. What should I expect? And what are things I should/shouldn't say?? Some times when i talk i over think and end up putting my foot in my mouth... Especially when I'm nervous!!
  12. What did the card that everyone is talking about say?
  13. I sit here thinking "I'm going to be having surgery soon, I need to figure out how to get my exercise in after surgery" (once i have doctors approval of course). i have 2 kids ages 6.5 and 1 year. I HAVE to plan ahead... It's my "mom thing" to over prepare. I have recently taught my 6.5 year old how to ride her bike with no training wheels, my motivation for this?? 1) because it was time, she's old enough and needed to learn. 2) because I have a feeling once the weight comes off I'm going to be a runner and her being able to ride bike along side of me running with the baby in the stroller is my ultimate plan! ... I was skinny once between the ages of 16-18 when I starved myself and ran for my grade in gym class in high school, I didn't want to play games I wanted to run the track.. But anyways... I sit here thinking "If I could run now, I would. but I'd break both my knees..." Now with that being totally true.. In the back of my head I'm questioning my ability to motivate myself... Am I fat because I'm lazy or am I lazy because I'm fat??! I am SO afraid i could sabotage myself after surgery!!! Has anyone else felt this way??
  14. I met with my primary yesterday turned in family health history and had an EKG and physical done. Next Wednesday I meet with the behavioralist and the following Wednesday with the surgeon. Going so fast im praying for no bumps along the way that could "de-rail my motivation train!" Soo stinking excited! Surgery will be about 6 weeks or less!!!
  15. Yes. I've seen a lot of before and after pictures and for some people there excess skin makes it look like they didn't lose very much weight. I won't have an option of plastic surgery so if my excess skin is bad ill have a body image issue with that too
  16. Have you had any other work done?? I could only hope to loose weight and have nice looking skin like yours. Skin is my BIGGEST hang up
  17. Holy fast track!! Went to my initial appointment with my primary care doctor today got a EKG and physical done all at once. Answered a few questions and the dr. told me I was a good candidate for this surgery! Wooohooo got my behavioralist appointment next Wednesday and the following week I meet the surgeon. I'll be having my surgery in about 6 weeks!! Yaaaaay!!!

  19. Careful with the dieting... If you loose too much weight before your initial drs appt they may tell you because your loosing weight with no assistance you don't need the surgery
