  1. Hello I was banded nov 7th and have lost 36 pounds and have had two fills. One thing I have learned is this: the lap band experience is completely individualized. Everyone is different. I said goodbye to pasta, soda, sweets and chocolate for good. My appetite is down considerably by watching carbs and increasing protein. Your weight loss is a culmination of many things...the band is just an assistive device. I had to learn to get right in my head before I ever started this journey and I live by the following rule that someone wrote on this site. "Nothing tastes as good as skinny will feel". Good luck!!!!
