  1. It gets better quick I can assure you. That's why they gave you pain meds prior to surgery to help wtih the discomfort you're experiencing today. I didn't gain any weight but your body has gas inside they had to add to make room for them to work without hurting you. That should pass within a week to 10 days, just take into consideration that each person's body reacts differenty. The liquid diet won't be so bad. Have plenty of jello made up, broth ... and with the broth, if you like wonton soup, add a bit of soy sauce to it for flavoring and those will help time pass. Also have some tea and do not forget about your very important protein drinks. That will get you through the liquid diet and it will become better and easier as time progresses. One small hint I would recommend .. don't weigh every day. Make it once a week or longer between weigh-ins. That way you will see your true progress. Good luck to you!
