  3. Hello Everyone, After 7 months of participating on this wonderful site and being able to interact with all the amazing, inspirational and beautiful people on here, I am so proud to finally be able to say I HAVE BEEN APPROVED FOR SURGERY (can you tell I'm excited? lol). After all the appointments, support groups and seminars I have attended it feels so good to finally be able to have the approval. So to everyone out there who is just getting started in the process or are in the middle of the process and things are getting a little rough, I am a living testimony that APPROVAL is possible and YOU CAN DO THIS, you deserve to have the things you want in life. I just called my insurance today (United Healthcare) to see if they had received my authorization claim and the rep on the phone told me it was already approved! I was in complete shock, she actually said I have been approved since Friday January 11th (that is when the surgeon's office submitted my info, so I was approved in ONE DAY!). My surgery date is February 4th at Alta Bates Summit Medical in Oakland, CA. I feel so blessed. To get what I never had (optimal health), I have done what I never did (not give up) and all the phone calls and pestering my doctors was worth it!
  4. Good luck to you. I am 22 and hoping to hear from my insurance company if I am denied/approved soon. Its so nervewracking waiting lol
