  1. Hi! I am new to this and have a lot of questions! I haven't even had my intial consult yet-- it is scheduled for Wednesday. I have a 35 bmi. I am cautiously optimistic that insurance will cover it. If not, I won't be able to get banded. Could someone answer a couple of questions I have? First, I 've been reading some of the discussions. What is the rationale for not being able to drink with meals. Is that a permanent thing? Also, what is BPing? I look forward to being part of this board and hope to be banded soon! Robin
