Fmla for TT surgery in Mexico
fmla coverage really depends on your employer terms but my fmla covered my tt for the first 7 days and then it turns into a disability ( under the terms my employer along with the fmla act has agrreed to offer its employees) and NO u dont have to tell your immediate boss its for plastic surgery just your fmla or disability dept fmla in most cases should cover any medical condition for u that will not allow u to perform ur job duties such as on narcotics for pain u cant drive etc etc fmlU is also avaiable to cover a family members illness such as spouse mom dad or child under 18 yrs old it is your right under the goverment law to be able to use fmla people just dont know fortunatly my company pays me but some other companies might not good luck

oh and by the way the tt scar very large and visible hip bone to hip bone. healed but definitely very noticeable and scared!!!

what a difference a year makes !
good luck to you stick to it you will be there before you know it..... oh yes i had 2 c-sections also and had a cross scar with a horrible belly button no gym surgery or excersize would have ever fixed it.. so yes to the tt (for me) .. the recovery has been more difficult then the wls first 2 weeks very painful was on norco for pain I'm still recovering i have numbness swelling and have to use a binder or spanx for 1-2 months.. also hard to sleep flat I'm still a bit hunched i have to remember not to over do it!! so not at all how the TV portrays cosmetic surgery.. so you must be completely ready to endure it all. blessing

what a difference a year makes !
my journey is almost done. I'm recovering from a full tummy tuck after my successful wls a year ago 7-12-12.. its been a roller coaster but a true success!! I'm grateful and so blessed to have made it this far. although i didn't reach my goal wieght I'm still ok with my results. (just 12 pds to go ) i attribute my success to what i put in my mouth i no longer eat just because food is available or snack for no reason and food now is for fuel no for gloutney ...yes i enjoy food but it doesn't control me I'm able to ignore/ and battle those cravings those binges and that takes nothing but full will power on my part!! (not easy) i always have leftovers and i never finish a full plate of food. self control has become the norm. (not easy) but i pray and just a complete change of old habits.. although i have great support from everyone around me its really all up to me. i will never go back to that big me i hated! i do get hunger attacks but i battle them with healthy choices. i have critics who say i took the lazy easy way out but they are not in my shoes and this journey worked for me. my advise is if you are ready to start on your journey you have to be truly ready! and find what works for you! The last phase of my journey once I'm fully recovered is to tone my body at a gym (something i dread and dislike very much) but I'm determined to conquer if the gym doesn't agree with me i will tone at home and continue my mall walks. blessings to all.

Band or Sleeve
oops missed your decision and surg date congrats you made the right choice some advise do not leave hospital unless you can cometely drink at least half a cup of water i did suffer severe dehydration once i went home so very important to be able to intake fluids the first few days much luck to you

Band or Sleeve
sleeve!! for sure the band is not as succesful as sleeve friend had it and was not succesful at all she lost very slow and very little and now is back to her heaviest the band allows you to manipilate your food intake meaning you can cheat with the sleeve you cannot cheat even if you try between my sleeve and my friends band i have been the winner im 7 months out and almost at my goal and my friend will be getting band removed (not covered by insuance) so she can get sleeved you will have something in you forever with both surgeries anyway the staples for the sleeve stay in your stomach and becomes part of your stomach band is reversable sleeve is not i urge and recommend sleeve i also revommend you dont let anyone even family be the deciding factor this is your decision only you can make it you must be ready and willing to accept a complete lifestyle change listen to your inner voice and once you are 100 % sure then go for it this surgery is for you not anyone else good luck

July Sleevers----Where Ya At? :-)
was sleeved july 12th my loss has only been 41-42 pds a lot less then most posts. :-( it seems at my 6 month point I'm now able to eat a lot more quantity and i feel my hunger/appetitie kicking in a lot stronger my hair is thinned out but the falling has subsided with the holidays i gained 1-2 pds and i have hit a nasty 2week stall ... any suggestions..
-
July Sleevers----Where Ya At? :-)
congrats to all..i was sleeved 7-12-12 oh my, did bad during the holidays with food everywhere gained 2 pds and now hit a stall but I'm getting back on track my hair loss has subsided but my hair mass is so thin now missing my pre surgery hair but not my pre surgery weight.. issue I'm having is that i can eat anything everything agrees with me and I've noticed that i can intake larger quantity of food so I've been eating more and that scares me

Roll Call for the July 2012 Sleevers! "5 Months Surgiversary"
gallbladder info.. i had mine removed long before my sleeve .. it has not affected me in any way ... yes get it removed the severe pain was so unbearable morfin didn't make it go away.. and it will not fix itself only gets worse over time so best results is to remove .. and really didn't change anything just have to avoid greasy food which is a good thing anyway.. did cause runs in the beginning right after having it removed due to grease or fat but body adjusted itself to the missing organ.. in my opiono won't affect your sleeve
