  1. Congrats on making the decision. My date is 3/12/12. I'm having it done in Oregon. I wouldn't hesitate to go to Mexico, but since time is at a premium for me, I couldn't afford to be gone for extra days. My surgery will be done in an outpatient clinic. Kinda scary, but I've talked to people who have done this. Anyone else have theirs done outpatient?
  2. Hi everyone, I am 51 and scheduled for VSG on 3/12/12. I am waiting to hear some answers that address Dyezee's concerns. I'm not too worried about short term nausea, but I've read some blogs by those who have remained nauseous for years. Any input greatly appreciated.
  3. I am scheduled for VSG 3/12/12, and I too, ran across the suethsayings blog thing. It scared me so much, I was seriously considering cancelling. I also ran across a couple different blogs, the one that I can remember was 'waning woman'. She talks about experiencing nausea and vomiting at over 2 years out. Is this typical? Nausea in the short term I can tolerate, but for years, I don't think so. I'm really starting to wonder about the long term outcomes Any thoughts?
  4. Ellidaisy- I am scheduled with Dr. Tersigni March 12. How was your pain, nausea the first 2 or 3 days?

How are you feeling after the first week? My VSG is scheduled for 3/12/12. My surgeon says liquids for the first 4 weeks. I think 8 lbs is great. Don't say ONLY, it's wonderful.
